Are You 99% Sure You’re God, or 100%?

55 posts in this topic

Where this matter is concerned, 99% is effectively the same as 0. You could get to 99 with logic alone, but the remaining 1% can only be supplemented with direct experience.

Turns out the possibility of direct experience being delusion doesn't matter:

Quote

1. If I am not God, then my experiences of being God are hallucinations.
2. These hallucinations display infinite creative power.
3. Only God has infinite creative power.

∴ I am God

It could be argued that I don't know whether my hallucinations are actually infinite, but:

  • Just me hallucinating that they are is sufficient. Imagining something infinite requires it to already be infinite — Imagination and Reality are co-arising. The existence of the concept of God itself requires God. A lesser thing cannot create its superior. Only God could have created the concept of God.
  • Whether they are or are not cannot be proven or disproven to/by an external observer. Perhaps it can't because I'm the only observer.
What category does something neither provable nor disprovable (unfalsifiable — which truth necessarily is) even belong to?

So, I am 100% certain. Sometimes I wish that wasn't the case, as it seriously messes with my human game agenda, especially of late, and at too young of an age. Thankfully, forgetfulness grants temporary respite.

@Carl-Richard @PolyPeter

We've already talked about this, where are all the people who became masters thanks to psychedelics?

Leo, Martin Ball, and Bryan Johnson are the most well-known 5 MeO DMT users and all three have exhibited poor health and pretty antisocial lifestyles.

My theory is that psychedelics are pendulums like any other, so the power you give them is subtly power that you withdraw from yourself when sober.

There is also the scrupulous dimension; like people a decade ago sometimes said “I’m playing a software program” because they were too snobbish to say they were playing a video game, I get the impression that some people are too snobbish to use psychedelics for pleasure, so they invent a “reason”.

@LambdaDelta it's always refreshing to read one of your posts

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

I don't believe I am God. Just random human , thinking and doing human things. I don't need ego bust of Godhood to have self confidence or be effective in this world.

"Thanks to psychedelics" would have to be qualified. But Ram Dass was famous for psychedelics and then he travelled to India and later became what people would consider a spiritual teacher.

My first LSD trip was a lesson of dukkha in Buddhism (which was before I had started getting into spirituality). I remember I went out of that trip with a kind of a quest: "I need to fix this thing". It really foreshadowed all my spiritual engagement after that.

When you finally realize God, you will laugh at how stupid anyone is to deny it.

Denying God is dumber than Flat Earth.

Sure thing. How could it be any other way. Atheists for example are odd creatures. O.K so they don't believe in a religious God or an externalized God that is 'other'. Neither do I. But, in a way the God they don't believe in actually brings them closer to what God actually is without them even realizing it. That being simply -God is EVERYTHING that is.

When the secret is revealed to you, you will know that you are not other than God, but that you yourself are the object of your quest.

Hahaha. What made the breakthrough from 100% to 101%?

Be honest.

Less than 80% I'd say. Still got a lot of contemplation, self inquiry, and generally spiritual work to do.

Among many of my psychedelic trips, two I consider awakenings, but after coming back from them my worldview and self identity remained similar to before.

In parallel, I'm working on solidifying myself into stage yellow, which requires a lot of systems thinking — a bit orthogonal to spirituality in my eyes but hopefully indirectly building a base for later spiritual growth.

Any advice is welcome.

There are always exceptions and the process has a certain systemic efficiency; I am judging the overall effectiveness.

I don't find psychedelics effective enough for me.
