Good fiction books recommendation?

Any good fiction books that you would recommend reading that hits on the themes of personal development, spirituality, etc..? 
I’ve read enough non-fiction and at the end they all start sounding the same.

Try "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts. Adventures of an Australian dude, through India, including it's underworld.

R Scott Bakker apocalypse series.

Martin W Ball, the Solandarian Game. it's very sci-fi but has a lot to discuss about consciousness.

I’m reading the second book in The Stormlight Archive right now, and I must say I’m really impressed by Brandon Sanderson’s understanding of people and Spiral Dynamics so far. I haven’t read the Mistborn series, but I know that those books have also been mentioned positively on this forum before.
