i had this realization about “small talk”. Small talk is not just people “playing it safe”, people GENUINELY think about those things on a regular basis

We're all mirrors, stardust with a pulse, seeking validation along our shared trajectories, interjections, and brilliant contrast.  Why?  Because validation of something inherently good-and-always-true feels good.
