Forum Appreciation Thread

I am blown away by how many wise, intelligent, thoughtful souls there are here relative to other corners of the Web.

It's funny: I used to take this forum for granted, even labeling it as a distraction from doing real work.

But what's cool about this place is it acts as a middle ground between learning and executing, theory and practice, studying and growing.

This forum is like a giant psycho-socio-spiritual, crowd-sourced, collective science project of personal development.

People come here to share how they're interacting with different facets of reality, different paradigms, and the different results they get. And you get to sit and read through raw case studies which you can compare/contrast with your own life experience. Or they can inspire you to be more ambitious, more disciplined, more counter-intuitive. Basically to live the different principles that are needed for building a great life.

All for free. And because Actualized attracts a generally high quality audience you get to interact with people you otherwise would only have a 0.0001% chance of meeting and hitting it off with in real life.

So, thank you Leo for building and fostering a wonderful ecosystem. We take it for granted 99% of the time and most of us would only realize its value the day after you pull the plug.

It has a bit more culture going on, and due to less anonymity than say, Reddit, I appreciate the ability to have rapport with others. There is some measure of forced integrity that prevents de-evolution into full cesspit mode a la 4chan/Reddit.

More like the old-school forums circa 2000.

I also appreciate the overall focus, even when we all go into banter mode. We usually boomerang back to the topics involving contemplation, enquiry with good openness 🙂

This space being marketed as a 'high-consciousness' forum makes banter more appealing somehow. But only because people assume the more conscious you are the less you disagree and argue with people.

I usually force myself to disagree and be polarizing. Normally I don't because I'm conflict-avoidant and see truth in everything. If someone is being stupid I just leave and find a greener pasture.

This forum is literally the only one that I ever took part in. Well, except for actuality of being, which is basically the same forum, just inverted.

It was a joke, but if I do end up creating something in that domain, it will be clean and stylish. Not for kids. And not another copy of something that already exists. It will be all about consciousness, wellbeing, life purpose and fun.

Meme's evolved out of 4chan as it is predominantly an imageboard with no retained history. And anonymous.

NEETs, incels all originated there before they evolved out into the 'pills' red/black etc

I totally agree, whenever the world gets too crazy I come here to ground myself.

This forum brings me sanity and the people here are true gems, I've met many in person, some of them have trip sat me through some of the most intense moments of my life, I traveled physically and out of reality with others, it's been 10 years that I found Leo and I always come back, it's like an anchor, a point zero, a place I come before going on another trip, another phase of my life, and like Natasha said, people joke here a lot but all the fuckery aside, most people here value Truth and end up goin back to self and contemplation.

That being said I feel like I need to be more present here cause its a wild world out there right now.

Thank you Leo I really appreciate your work, your mere existence creates a chain of positive events in the lives of everyone who is touched by your work, insights and love.
