Honestly there's a couple things that come up from this. I thought this was a little bit profound I just want to highlight it. 

First of all I'm totally want to use this distinction in my mind in dating where I don't see a difference between tall people and short people, because I'm 5'3. Also Leo, I want to hear all your black pills about dating and survival. I think a black pill about being short is that women can feel genuinely disgusted by men shorter than the majority. Which is actually liberating for me to think about it in that way. To just start accepting BIAS for the way it is and to stop fighting it or being resentful towards it. This also takes into account the fact that you can level up your charisma with humor and charm many people too.

More seriously though, I've been collapsing this distinction between what I would call dopamine fishing and drug addiction. Media addiction and drug addiction are just as harmful. They're both taking your attention off of your direct experience of the sensations in your body and whatever's going on in your mind. Seeing someone at a bus stop Glued to their phone Is like identical to seeing A homeless man on the street Firing up a crack pipe.

@ZenSwift The shorter the woman, the more she benefits from a man being as tall as possible, as their offspring are likely to be taller. It sucks I know.

Tysm for this blog post. I realize that I seriously need to take Epistemic Responsibility for how I view and embrace reality. I am learning not place that authority onto anyone else. It’s extra tough for me, since I’ve always experienced the world and myself so differently than how it “ought to be”, since…. forever. Every accredited professional I worked with growing up would always try to fix me and conform me to be functional and “normal”. I spent decades masking for others so that they could approve of me and so that I could feel safe. Yet, no matter how much of that I do, in the end it just made me deader inside, less authentic, more dysfunctional , and experientially hating reality. I had all the spirit, life, and joy sucked out me. 

So now, I’m finally realized that enough is enough. I’m tired of going down that same road of not trusting my authentic self, and worse, placing others as the authority to define and dictate who I am. I am now committed to embodying what is true, even if it seems impossible or crazy to others. <33

PS: I have no idea what purview means, even after looking up the definition, so all I have to say about that is MEOW!

Seriously, how STRANGE would that be, to realize it was all YOU all this time? Like, that's the definition of strange. And it's also extremely homosexual. 

Leo said at some point that movies based on truth don't sell but I don't think so. I mean isn't love truth? Many movies about love.

The Cost of Understanding

Why was there a cost for you?

If one has nothing to prove, true listening, true understanding, naturally happens. Don't you think?

Do you feel you had to give something up that was unwillingly given?

Why is there pain / fear here for you? After all, this is where the "negativity" arises from.

Where did you first feel the pain of this cost? And has this been connected with, so it is not echoing through the work again and again?

When I ask myself the question, I like to push it into a reframe. I invert it to "What did I gain?" 

It allows me to connect to the negativity around loss. Grief comes up - and the negative charge I felt is discovered to have wallpapered over the true feeling. Grieving is then allowed, and processed. Connected with. The feeling then abates naturally.

And I feel peace.

I suppose the connection to the feeling is the same Goodness as the Goodness that flourishes from the connection to God. The connection to Self. The Knowing of Self. The Loving of Self. 

Connection is the ultimate Goodness!!

@Natasha Tori Maru It is a struggle to understand Reality in ways no one else does. It is similar to building a brand new technology when everyone tells you its impossible. Then, once you do it, everyone says, "That was obvious."
