For months we had posters here claiming big bad Hezbollah was going to come in and take down the IDF.

Now they've had their balls blown off and their head cut off.

A few gems from Nasrallah:

Quote

In a 2000 interview with The Washington Post, Nasrallah said: "I am against any reconciliation with Israel. I do not even recognize the presence of a state that is called 'Israel.' I consider its presence both unjust and unlawful. That is why if Lebanon concludes a peace agreement with Israel and brings that accord to the Parliament our deputies will reject it; Hezbollah refuses any conciliation with Israel in principle."[47]

On 26 May 2000, after the Israeli withdrawal from south Lebanon Hassan Nassrallah said: "I tell you: this 'Israel' that owns nuclear weapons and the strongest air force in this region is more fragile than a spiderweb."[48][49]

In 2006, Nasrallah said: "There is no solution to the conflict in this region except with the disappearance of Israel."[50]

saying Hezbollah is alive the movement is alive

Of course it's alive. It's a huge army. It's not going anywhere. IDF has barely made a dent in it.

You don't think the events of the past few weeks have been a huge blow to Hezbollah as an organization?

IDF could bomb them for 6 months and still not kill 1/3rd of it. They are throwing darts at a hippopotamus.

But raw numbers aren't the only thing an organization is.

This is the opposite of 2006, where Hezbollah stayed on relative even footing which resulted in a huge morale boost for Hezbollah.

yes but now it is 10x weaker, kill the shepherd, and the sheep will scatter.

That's far too naive a picture of how these organizations work. If it was that easy to kill terrorists then they would have stopped existing a long time ago. You're not going to bomb your way out of this situation.

What do you guys think are the odds of an all out war including Syria, Iraq, and Iran?

Iran is the only one motivated enough to go to war, and they aren't very motivated.

Their best chance was months ago, when Hamas and Hezbollah were at full strength. Now with their proxies weakened, it is way more difficult for them. Israel is winning the war from a military standpoint.

Iran won't go to war it's just not gonna work in the Islamic regime's favour besides it has many many internal problems as well how can you go to a war without the support of your people?

People here are mostly cheering for Israel

Yes perhaps, and I do think the real head of all the resistance forces siding with Palestine is the Supreme leader of Iran so Israel's real enemy is Iran in the long run not just Islamic Jewish hostility BTW; I've heard from my university professors and on the Internet by my own little research that Persians and Jews also have hostility towards each other even before Islam they had it and it goes way more ancient kind of hostility between Iran and Israel.

Although there are some friendliness between them too in history for example the saving of the Jews by Cyrus the great the king of persia and Jews still love him for that so maybe all those hostility I've read about is just a propaganda by the Islamic regime.

I’m so happy he’s dead. He caused so much suffering to Syria when he intervened with his army in 2012-2013 and butchered Syrians like dogs. He got what he deserved.

Hezbollah together with Assad were both responsible to the intentional murdering of thousands of innocent Soonies during the Civil War in Syria.

The West will rule the Middle East and will lift the suffering of billions. Enough with these dictators in Lebanon and Iran. Join the UAE and things will look better for the majority.

Iran is the next target and I wish they will attack Israel that it will force the US to take action.

Free the hostages🙏🏻

I think the West should respect and not to rule the middle east, but to advance alliances with the moderate axis there, when at the same time focusing its effort against the Iranian regime proxies and nuclear capabilities.

Forcing them isn’t the answer, but looking more like the UAE seems to make more sense in the modern world.

I am shocked that Nasrallah is now dead.

On the one hand, I am sure he deserved to be killed.

On the other hand, I worry about the possible repercussions to this.

This is Israel’s response to the West literally calling for a 21 day ceasefire proposal to de-escalate and off the back of receiving another 8 billion USD from the US. Almost a year on from October 7th and the West has completely facilitated Israel to where it is now - which doesn’t seem any safer.

They mistake their “enemy” to be a snake they can strike in one blow, when it’s a hydra. As if decapitating hydras has ever been effective strategy - it only represents a tactical win that gives a false sense of hope.
