  1. Massive war with China? They have a President for life, so I'm sure they're getting closer to the USA technologically, maybe even exceeding it in certain areas. Besides the Western world has grown soft. If they wait a bit longer it'll turn on itself anyway. Relatively quiet period in human history as far as major wars go, or so I've heard.

A Meteorite strike? Plague? Super Volcano eruption? Independence Day style Alien Invasion?

  2. Filter theory of the mind. A concept of Carl Jung, I have heard mentioned by the NDE of a Neurosurgeon. I did have a similar idea of "Why am I me and not you?" What make "my" consciousness unique. Vanity of vanities saith the preacher.

And interestingly an Aldous Huxley theory/Experience.

@RichardY Isn't it close minded though to put down Plato's Republic just because it doesn't make sense to you?

I'm not being aggressive here, but I'm just wondering what justifies putting a philosopher down without having grasped the message of the book?

I read Plato's Republic a few months ago and yes, there are questionable aspects, but I also wouldn't say that it is no less important. I would say the same thing about most philosophic works I have read.

I also wouldn't consider philosophers as "rankable" because they approach truth to the best of their abilities from different angles. We need those angles, right?

My point is not that he doesn't make sense. My point is Plato lies, and he does it literally within the first few pages. I was gutted; OK Plato let's see what all the fuss is about. Really by the logic of the first few pages, there shouldn't be a state, but you're going to have one anyway. Couldn't you have crafted some finer Bullshit in the introduction at least, gone with the movie "Goodfellas" approach, I paid 99p for this kindle book.

I do. Non-Dual is preferable to Dualism. They get a higher rank.  Nietzsche gets a low rank for rhetoric, and for  a pluralistic perspectivism. Goes more in the entertainment category. Angles can be useful, but don't fall into perspectivism.

Lies can confer information. i.e the Labyrinth riddle. Bit of a gaming addict. " 'Even in a book of lies sometimes you find truth." - Bioshock (Andrew Ryan....). Although I am wary of Crowley, Hegel. Aztec Blood sacrifice....

Hail Atlantis! Way down below the Ocean.....

The Mandala is an interesting symbol, I was thinking about that yesterday. I wonder if "The Tibetan book of the Dead" is worth reading, I've heard that referenced in relation to the Mandala. There is a certain terror about it.

Essential for any materially productive society. But his theory of truth is tautological, though he does seem open to truth, something that seemed lost on Ayn Rand. A super-tautology on the other hand, would probably see you better armed. "Art of War", "Tao Te Ching." Christopher Langans CTMU. Possibly Plotinus(not read but on my list).

I tried reading the Republic Plato, but if you follow Plato's logic about 12 or so pages in. He basically tells you he thinks the whole idea of a state ridiculous. So you get the Noble Lie. I stopped reading. Some of the Early Dialogues are OK, but dialectic is more defragmentary than the direct pursuit of truth.

Plotinus is probably worth reading, there's a collection on Audible so you don't even have to read it. Where I can see overlap between left and right at high levels of I.Q it peaks my interest. I saw a quote of Plotinus in Jordanetics. Looking into Christianity recently it's interesting how the western is dualistic, compared to Eastern Orthodox. Less bloody conflict less need for a more viable metaphysic?

Match one up against the other, eventually run out of contenders. David Hume > Nietzsche. Aristotle>Plato>Rand. Bit like comparing video games.

If you've read enough classics from an early age, it would provide an edge over those who do not have the foundations. Especially if they do not have the same information or education.

Hegel's probably dangerous/evil(Manifest Destiny, Master Race), same with Kant but I found it less immediately apparent. He even says I think in the "metaphysics of morals" that philosophy can be highly dangerous turned to Evil, I had a good laugh.  "Clausewitz On War" is based on Kant's philosophy, I guess the doublethink is required somewhat for conflict.

  5. @Aeris Yeah well, no ones perfect.

Murdering to eat not so much, murdering by lying, then yeah.

Depends what you mean by slavery. Slavery being legalistic. A distance ancestor of mine co-wrote the legal opinion for slavery in England. I thought it was interesting anyway.

Perspective is tempting. But then you can fall into Perspectivism as Nietzsche professed. Fragment until there is no truth.

  6. @Adam M

They're both tools of special interests, well paid and promoted for it. Atheism failed, so Jordan Peterson is their next guy. Cable TV, it's credibility is near dead, online video the future for the last decade plus.

Whether they're stage yellow green or whatever, they are not as smart as people from 300 years a go or more. Noam Chomsky, I would have thought of as yellow. These guys, even if they're green, there's got to be saner people out there somewhere. I would have thought of permaculturalists, surfer dudes, Outdoor pursuits type of people, Yoga instructors as more green.

Szizek. "The issue is settled" a mixed economy both socialism and capitalism is best. The guy is an Atheist, evil does not exist in Atheism. Rape, murder, theft lying etc. Are not evil, they're just not good. Evil requires the supernatural, basic mechanics pleasure(good) and pain(not good). If I burn my hand with acid that's not good. If a person melts another's face with acid, with intent to destroy or defy the good, ultimately God, that's evil.

Peterson. Truth is Darwinian.(Sam Harris debate).

If Genghis Khan were doing a talk, even if an awakened stage Red/Blue  he'd have more credibility. What is best in life great khan?

Aristotle lists a load of things that are crucial to happiness, survival basically. Health, Wealth, Family, Friends etc the basic stuff.

Side note: I was constantly getting the urge to get up on that stage and speak in layman's terms, so that people could understand... you'll see me up there one day... that's definitely my life purpose.

Could start today or next week. 5 minute YouTube videos or something as a start. I've thought about doing more to organise my thoughts. Not to gain attention par se.

    Example Paul Joseph Watson.

    Silly voice check.
    Silly face.
    Colourful. Thumbnail check.
    Tempo.
    Rhetoric.
Skip camera frames. More than the multiples TV off "Back to the Future".
    Political....

The better channels have fewer subscribers more erudite, I like fewer but more hardcore philosophical videos if I can find them 30-45mins concentrated is my preference. I don't like political rhetorical ones at all, Left or Right, although more so left, though that's more mainstream left. Same old shit. Addictive to the Ego to some extent, collective(Left) or individualistic(Right).

But 500,000 to 1,000,000 views for less than a 10 minute video! Even a thousand is a lot of eyeballs.

    4. When asked "How does one achieve happiness?" Peterson responds "By trying to act in accordance with what one believes to be the highest good and to be honest with others."

    Like...what...

Hes partially correct but that's such dangerous advice to give to people...the ego can misuse thay advice so easily.

A better answer would be "Google actualized.org"

    LOL

But then JP would lose many followers because if he starts to give any REAL happiness advice (meditation). Then all of his blue/ORANGE followers would hate him.

Side note: I'm pretty sure this guy just got off anti-depressants a few years ago...who are you to tell people how to be happy?

Bottom Line Land Management.( Move to Agrarianism away from Capitalism & Socialism)

I read an article recently that said 50% of land in the UK was owned by 1% of the population or something like that. If land was divided up equally it would be about 1 acre a person. Arable land is 0.22 acres a person or about 900 square meters. That is super intensive agriculture that is required.

If the land was managed better things could improve. The population is about as much as could be sustained. Unless vertical farms, or some sort of algae feed becomes viable.

Either land ownership and management, along with Fossil fuels dependence and planning permission;  would have to change. Which would mean the death of the banking sector. Or the population culled, to maintain the material standard of living and environmental integrity(over fishing, soil depletion).

Even if the atmosphere is totally fucked. There's still time for biomes, but literally everyone would have to be working at it imho. They build underground in Canada due to the cold. If there's technology to colonise  and terraform Mars. Why not the Earth? Norway and many European countries literally have abandoned towns villages and forest.

As I said death of the banking sector,  but also pharmaceutical, retail&Supermarket and education sector as presently constituted. Go back to the 18th Century just before the population exploded. Nice big Georgian houses and cottages, but with many of the modern plant cultivars and developed technologies.

Leave the technical stuff to 150 I.Q plus.

Have them frequent the cities and science parks. Masses of people housed in tenement blocks working for corporations financed by massive debt makes no sense what so ever. Devote literally all other redundant resources to climate control, as people are now living in villages. Consumer society dead. Problem solved.

  8. Without spirituality, society in it's present form will/is continuing along the path of eusocial(in group) selection, ant colony, and a tech singularity. Very bad for the rest of the people in society, and for those at the top, dependent on the hedonic adaptation.

H.G Wells prime example. First man in the Moon, The Time Machine, War of the Worlds, Island of Dr Moreau. ALL of the stories based around the same theme of eugenic selection. An Atheist, hence the theme.

Direct Democracy(as opposed to Representative) would be better than the current system, more elitist if potentially more bloody(although with modern conveniences maybe not so much). Direct feedback, as opposed to the delayed feedback. Better still would be Aristocracy. Aristotle said that Monarch was best, but then he lived in a time where kingdoms were often the equivalent population of modern towns.

  9. Pretty sure most "spiritual" leaders or personalities are demonically possessed. Fairly sure that Enlightenment often equals Demonic Possession. On the surface Sadhguru seems perfectly fine and sane.... Agh Fuck it. Is there some sort of top ten list of contemporary guru's. Or Devils with super high I.Q to learn from.

The Youtuber seemed completely cucked by Feminist Ideals. Sadhguru makes more sense, if only he could be nailed down or crucified in someway.

  10. I wouldn't even consider Stefan Molyneux Alternate Right, he's repeatably said he doesn't want any form of Government. On top of that he supposedly supports the NAP, so basically can be ploughed under by the Communists&Collectivists. First strike... doesn't really matter.

Anarchist( Cap Libertarian): Stefan Molyneux. NAP which I think is rubbish.

Civic Nationalism. The American Dream. Trump. Mike Cernovich.

Nationalism. Founding Fathers. Ben Shapiro(Zionism). Voxday(Army ants). Christopher Langan. Myself.

Gate Keepers. Jordan Peterson(Trilateral Commission & Soldout). Joe Rogan( Little man syndrome & Bought out).

Distributivism would be better than Collectivism. Divide up Capital and parcel it out. As opposed to Collectivisation for the Good of the Proletariat. I don't consider Black peoples equal. I don't consider white peoples equal. Ethiopians and East Africans dominate in Marathons and look like skeletons. West Africans dominate more in the sprint, and made better slaves for physical labour, more muscular. The East Africans probably more slaves in salt mines spice trade or occasional sex slaves for Arabs. In general though white people, dominate above all other nationalities in the highest levels of I.Q. Asians I'm sure lie and the sample get skewed to the more affluent.  To say black people have an approximate level of I.Q, when the wheel wasn't widely adopted is BS. Even through sheer laziness it makes sense. Australian Pygmies have one of the lowest I.Q as a group. Larger skull, larger brain, greater I.Q. Intelligence, maybe not.

@whoareyou Yeah Detroit is a Shit hole mass illiteracy, import Africa become Africa.
