Education is government controlled everywhere. And what authoritarian regime has ever needed anything like AI? The teacher's in denial.

As to the original question, nothing is inevitable.

Yes, education is government controlled, but government controlled education in sweden as compared to education designed to serve the interest of the chinese communist party looks very different.

Also,  AI was never used by authoritarians in the past because it was not invented... If China refines its ai to watch the citizens every move and persecute dissenters immediately, it will be much harder for any sort of opposition to proliferate.

It's hard enough to make a government stop being authoritarian when everyone hates them, but how can it happen when a significant chunk or majority of the population supports it?

Right! it is a different level of indoctrination. Stage blue is fascinating. I do think my intuition says that eventually, people will wake up as the material conditions improve though... but it may be a long time before that happens given the reasoning above^^^

  2. Hey y'all.

I was chatting with one of my professors and I asked him if he thought that it is inevitable that China will have more privatization and become more democratic as the material conditions continue to improve.

He said that it is possible, but he thinks that with things like AI facial recognition and government control of education, communication, and media, it is very possible that China can remain authoritarian for a very long time by crushing any potential mobilization efforts to seriously reform the government in that direction.

    Wondering what your thoughts were.

Imagine Trump goes on a ventilator, struggles for 7 days, has a NDE and survives. Do you think he is capable of empathizing for other people who had covid? I'm curious if Trump has the potential for any empathy or if he is hard wired narcissist. What more would someone need to develop empathy than going through it themself?

I highly doubt it. He will never do anything that will make him look weak.

Edit: plus, he is old, his brain structure is so crystalized at this point that I don't think he is capable of empathy

  4. So I am not in a place in my life where I can seriously pursue enlightenment(survival needs/purpose are primary on plate).

That said, I still want to create the best life for myself and realize that increasing my capacity to extend love for myself and for all of humanity and for the entire universe is essential in not only being better fit to be a leader and actualize my life purpose, but also it just feels good to love.

I watched leos first vid on love(I will be watching the second one later this week) and his outrageous experiments in consciousness vid.

If anyone has any suggestions for specific exercises, books, or videos on this topic... it would be very appreciated.

    Love,

I mean being religious isn't something that is confined in any one stage. The way I see it, where someone is at in the spiral determines how they interpret scripture. For instance, a stage blue religious person might put more weight on how you need to disown everyone who is not like you while a stage green religious person might put more weight on something like "love thy neighbor" which extends to loving people who are a different race than you.  A stage blue Christian is more likely to try to defend slavery using the bible.

I have met both stage blue and stage green Christians and even though both groups were religious in the same extent (i.e going to church 2x a week etc.) the way they viewed the world was VERY different. I can't speak for everyone but from my experience the first group was more prone to take the bible literally and was keen on fearfully avoiding anything that will piss of god while the second group tried to approach the bible in a more lenient way where things were up to interpretation since even though the text is there, there is no way to know what god is (at least from the limited human, stage green perspective;))

The way I see it, religion is a tool. The way you use it and the way that a society interprets it has a lot to do with social and political factors, both of which are linked to spiral development.

What you ain't getting is that there are a lot of different types of stage blue christianity. I think MLK's blue is much healthier than say mike Pence blue. I would say MLK has a predominantly blue spread with a decent amount of orange and green. Just based on his speeches.

  6. @Fadl ....... How bout you judge by the content. Spiritual people need to eat. someone as big as sadhguru has so many costs to maintain his sites, servers, promotions, employees, etc.

This is like saying Peter Ralston is fake because he doesn't ship people copies of his books for free or give free retreats.

Yes 1 in 500 women will probably sleep with you, she might be hot but probably has metal deficits like low self-esteem because she doesn't pick up on your out-of-line behavior.

LMAOOOO... dude, no. If you are charming, funny, and just seem like a cool guy, many will respect your courage and think "if he has the balls to break social conventions like that... there must be something highly valuable about this guy". Of course, it takes practice to get that good.... but The risk of being awkward initially is worth it if you want to have a satisfying sex life/relationship.
