What Music Leads you to feel Love?

106 posts in this topic

Very curious to hear what others think about this.

With a life purpose to play music that guides people into Loving Introspection, revealing their true nature... I would love to hear what experiences of Love you have had, and which songs lead to those experiences.

Thanks!

Recently re-visiting Dream Theater. The purely instrumental middle section of The Count of Tuscany always gets me teary-eyed (I'm all for the instrumentals and aesthetics, I rarely ever listen to lyrics):

(starts at 10:57, but 10:17 for context).

This one is similar:

WOW. Goosebumps, never heard this band before, and this is not a style of music I am used to, but the power in it is deep. WOW... That's a lot of love.

Really the only genres I can stand to listen to are solo singing and classical music.

Classical music has been my favorite for the longest time.

Whatever I enjoy.  The more you enjoy something the more love you feel for it.  It can be anything.

@Realms of Wonder ^_^ Welcome. Hope you enjoy! They're all what I consider "masterpieces". I have listened to all of these over and over..

Funky music in general makes me just close my eyes and feel like I'm in some kind of cosmic musical party, free from all worries. Makes me feel freedom and love for life. I think the people who made the music felt the love and it's transmitting through the music.

Interesting! I never considered funky music to be a connection to love, shows how biased my music tastes are.

Thank you for sharing!  I love that description "Cosmic musical party."

I can only do it on my computer. In YouTube, right-click on the video itself while watching it and select "copy link at current time" or something like that.

If God had a name what would it be?
And would you call it to his face?
If you were faced with Him in all His glory
What would you ask if you had just one question?

And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?

If God had a face what would it look like?
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in Jesus and the Saints
And all the prophets?

And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?

Just tryin' to make his way home
Back up to heaven all alone
Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Pope, maybe in Rome

And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?

Just tryin' to make his way home
Like a holy rolling stone?
Back up to heaven all alone
Just tryin' to make his way home

Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Pope maybe in Rome
