Hello,

After starting krya yoga again a week ago I have some questions about it. I guess this is the ideal place to ask 'em.

So, years ago I was initiated into Sadguru's Shambhavi Mahamudra krya.
At first I was hesitant to do the practice even though I wished to learn it.
I lived in an shared apartment and didn't like to chant AUM because I didn't want to attract the attention of my flatmates.
Besides that I had problems holding muscle contractions and doing the breath work.

I switched to doing mindfulness meditation and did that daily.
Because I really want to develop my consciousness, I stick to doing daily practices.
But plain meditation has it's shortcomings too, so I started the krya again.

What I notice from doing it, is that I have a calmer breath and am a little more relaxed afterward.
At the end of the practice you hold your breath while locking your bandhas. You do that as long as comfortably possible while holding the bandhas and after releasing them you should watch your breath.
Her is where I feel the most of the practice. I have some seconds of increased clarity and calm.
But after these 10 or so seconds my mind slowly takes over again and I'm hardly able to watch my breath carefully.

I'm skeptical about how much the practice is doing for me, because I don't really feel any different even after weeks and months of practice.
Roughly 3 months of daily practice is the longest I did if I remember correctly. Maybe a little more.
I do some intense heavy metal detoxification as well, which affects my consciousness state quite heavily, so it's hard to tell any subtle effects any practices have on my from the health symptoms I have.

So, how do I know if krya yoga is doing something for me? How long does it normally take to see results, and how to they feel?

Do you have tips for doing krya yoga more effectively?

My mind is very dominat and I have difficulty concentrating. Is it any good to do krya yoga even if I'm mentally absent most of the time?

And maybe some of you know Sadguru's Shamhavi Mahamudra. Did any of you have had good results? What are your experiences?

Thank you in advance for your answers :)

@MAHAVATAR_-_BABAJI The "fail until you figure it out" attitude doesn't work in yoga unfortunately unless you're naive enough to ignore the risk of having irreversible energetic issues in that pursuit.

It is like giving a child a loaded gun and telling it to figure out how the gun works without taking into account that the child might shoot itself.

Unless you figure out the energetic aspect of spiritual pursuit you will be spinning your wheels doing practices you don't understand just because a book said so and then will come back crying about your ill health, not knowing you caused that to yourself.

in  kriyasadhana there is not the danger to have such permanent issue , unless one one has not damage himself and his psycofisical system with drugs and a varity of sustances...kriya is a REAL BLESSING...but is more a dedication to the DIVINE than a search for immediate effects and , after that, you give up if , after a few months , you d ont get immediate results...that doesn"t work...

first , choose ONE TECNIQUE or SISTEM of meditation and stickTO IT FIRMLY. you have to practice with FIRM DETERMINATION , making it a HABIT , and it takes time and discipline, without watching every moment to see if there are results or not . build discipline on pleasure , dont force it and keep the sessions pleasant and not tiring or stressful . let the practice enter your life in a relaxed way , do not create tension by looking for results and freaks .the PATH THAT LEADS TO GOD , Consciousness and Bliss is not a circus...

Kechari mudra is damn near impossible. I can touch the uvula but can't get behind it and go upwards without the tongue twisting. Any tips?

● I used to have crippling social anxiety, even getting off a bus, going to class, and of course talking to girls. This is 90% gone after two years and this alone has done so much for my life. I use to get very frustrated when people told me you have to live with it. I rejected that flat out.

● A lot of health benefits. Overcoming eating problems, dropping ALL supplements, and eating about 60% of what I used to and still maintain my size. I'm 186cm, 94kg and 14% body fat. Extremely active, bouldering, jiujitsu, powerlifiting and I eat almost half as much without losing ANY weight.

● Sleeping less, and taking less shits lol. It has also enhanced digestion. Maybe 7 hours of sleep which again is crazy for my level of activity.

● Had very bad OCD (diagnosed) and perfectionism. OCD is almost totally gone. I can plan compulsively sometimes but I don't check the door 50 times in the morning so it's been so liberating.

● The desire for porn, coffee, eating meat, watching TV, alot of this stuff just naturally fell away. I didn't try to do anything. Sex drive probably halved.

● More frequent non-dual experiences. For example, walking down the street, I suddenly feely merged with everyone around me. Frequent episodes of bliss and love but it's not awakening.

● A more elusive one, but it's easier to get what I want in life and I am generally much happier. Better emotional states. Feel more balanced and capable.

● I also have a deeper sense now that I don't really need to do anything in life. I just feel fulfilled. I don't feel obliged to help anyone or do anything and I don't think it dictates my worth as a human.

● I have become a catalyst for growth for everyone around. After people spend some time around me they usually want to change. Major impact on family.

I credit a lot of my progress to reading Dr Hawkins book about surrender and for years I took surrender and kriya yoga EXTREMELY seriously. I did it religiously. Sometimes I was doing kriya yoga three times a day. It was addictive.

I have always wanted to make a video about this but I'm afraid people will call me a pseudo scientist full of shit etc... lol

I posed this a while ago and someone may see this and find this useful. I continued with my practices and by God is it incredible, all of the previous health benefits remain and maybe I am sleeping and eating even less but something much deeper is happening, I am finding that I am becoming more and more empty and as I become more empty, I am becoming more joyful and filling up with love. All I am doing is Sadhguru's yoga but I have done it so fucking religiously for years while continuing with Leo's work, Ralston's work etc... Man this shit is insane, I could never have imagined this, I have gone from the post pathetic emotional states to so much joy and peace. The word joy is not strong enough and it lasts all fucking day! I don't about these seratonin and dopamine channels and how they need to be reset... doesn't matter to me anyways because this shit is incredible. Again, I don't equate any of this with awakening but by God does kriya yoga make your life vibrant, I feel incredible! So if anyone is still considering doing kriya yoga, just do it man, but real transformation is going to take 1000s of hours of practice and just sheer fucking intensity. I was also doing very serious contemplation and tripping from time to time on the side so it was a holistic development but it is clear to me that the kriya yoga was the key transforming agent. It just makes life worth living, sharp senses, joy, peace, less shitting, sleeping, fucking, eating and so on. Brain is much sharper and all of your other work is enhanced!

Merry fucking Christmas and you're welcome.

Don't complain about grammar. It's perfectly written. Precise.

@MAHAVATAR_-_BABAJI did I get you right, you invented a Yoga exercises which can give you an orgasm? What has shambhavi mahamudra to do with that?

To be honest, your posts and instruction are a bit hard to read for me. If you have a book or something which explains similar things I could try it out.

There is no book. I created this technique. There is nothing online to my knowledge that can explain this.

It is simple.

I'll send photos of me demonstrating it and labeled using my spen. It's easier with photos.

I'll send in a bit after I'm not as busy.

For those that can comprehend you will gain many fruits as this will be complex. The conscious will only understand by sitting and studying what is written below.

How to use kriya to have an orgasm without using your hands or a device, and only using asanas? Read below:

__________________________________________

0. Sit in a chair, with buttox slightly foward, and lean backwards with legs extended and apart from each other(not together). Be in a warm environment and use sexual imagery*for men*.

1. Touch svadisthana with the pads of your fingers from one hand and place pressure on it to become aware of the anterior ksetrams point as we do in kriya yoga. Keeping hand on the kesetram slightly drag the skin backwards. Hold this pressure throughout the cycle.

--> it is the spot between the MOUND and the PENIS' ROOT.

-->Men: research the word "Mound" and find a photo.

--> Women: research "penis root masturbation" on pubmed. And see the diaphram. Find that spot on your vulva.

2. Perform mental kriya on that spot while simultaneously extending your legs and your ankles into a locked(flexed) position like one does when one yawns. Find the releasing sensation in svadisthana's anterior ksetram which feels like a "tingling", "climax", "edge before you have an orgasm", "heat", "light",etc.

3. Add mula bandha, while squeezing the extended(flexed) legs together but still keeping them apart from each other. Like to same-sided ends of a magnet. Focus on the perineum(prostate/p-spot). Keeping muscles around the genitals organs relaxed.

*Do it more than twice to see results.*

Done!

.

.

.

-- Do the above technique now in these asanas on your stomach. Don't use your hands but think of the floor as the substituted hand-pressure. Just use the floor as pressure by pressing your pelvis into the floor: Sphinx, Low cobra, Serpent Pose, upward facing dog, Locust Pose, bow pose, etc). Try not to orgasm. It will be very hard to not which is why yoga studios in America avoid these poses. Women

--Do the technique seated on the floor, first with using the hand ✋️ and then without using the hand. Next try to generate the same sensation in svadisthana's anterior ksetram but without extending the legs(they can remain fowards but don't extend the legs into a flexed position as we did above).

--Do the technique it on your back.

--Do the technique while stimulating the clirioris(frenulum for men). This will give you a huge rush!!

--Do the technique and use Aswini mudra to shoot that energy into the center of your Skull as we do in kriya yoga.

--Do the technique with and without visual aid, or any sexual instruments.

--Do the technique now standing. To extend the legs into a flexed position you will have to be on your tippy-toes to get that sensation. Once you have generated and recognize the sensation lower your feet so they are grounded. Now pretend they are still extended and do the technique to generate the tingling sensation. You may use ur hand or just ur thumb to add pressure to the spot mentioned in the technique tutorial. We use are thumb like we do in kriya yoga.

--Use the technique in a kneeling position. No leg extension.

□Report results below:

__________________________________________

Mental Kriya - Awakening on Steroids.

__________________________________________

__________________________________________

[ ] Pressure awareness of mound's root area

[ ] Mula bandha

[ ] Leg and ankle extension

[ ] Tingling shiver sensation which occurs when we yawn, placed at the root of the penis at the same time you do mula bandha

[ ] The foward part of "cat and cow" is added when doing no hand or standing mula bandha, while turning and squeezing thighs inward towards the perineum

[ ] Touch the mounds root area and don't add pressure, now do mula bandha hahaha.

[ ] When on the floor and on your stomach you use your astral hands to add pressure on the mounds root area(just a way to pretend ur using your hand as to get the same motion without additional movements).

[ ] pressure, extension, cow, Tingling-Shiver at svadisthana(mula bandha)

[ ] Don't curl pelvis to add pressure. Keep pelvis flat on the floor and then curl slowly using the "Cow" part of "cat and cow".

[ ] Don't strain.

[ ] Hump into the pressure

[ ] keep pelvis as still as possible and create a LOCK with mula bandha

[ ] turn legs outwards or inwards towards cock

[ ] Focus on the thighs not the knees and ankles during the leg extension.

__________________________________________

Shambavi mahamudra can be done prior to this technique as to create ojas(sexual energy).

__________________________________________

1. ⚠️What causes the tingling shiver sensation?

2. lock-magnet×(mental kriya-mula bandha-Yawn/Shiver).=Orgasm

__________________________________________

__________________________________________

1. Mula bandha (exhaling and pause vs inhaling and pausing)

2. Extension & no extension

3. With and without hands

[ ] On stomach

[ ] Seated

[ ] On back

[ ] Standing

[ ] Squatting

[ ] Kneeling

[ ] Bending over

[ ]

^Execute this yogasm technique in all these positions.

__________________________________________

Think of the above as you would when reading Aristotle or lahiri mahasaya where grammar doesn't exist. I'm speaking from a certain state. I hope at least one of you understand it after a week of studying it and can execute it at will.

Then I want u to send the orgasm sensation to the center of your Skull without having an actual physical orgasm.

I'm exaggerating it in the photos to give you an idea. I can make it so subtle it looks just like I pulled up my pants and get the sensation to occur with or without an erection.

I then use mula bandha to shoot the sensation up into my Skull. The more you intensify the sensation the crazier it gets.

Also, pulsate it. Don't just hold it for 10 hours hahaha. Once Cycle lasts 1-5 seconds.

I'm sure somewhere someone knows of this but I'm the first to ever show and demonstrate it.

Hope you gain success after a week or so. It's hard to know what sensation to look for until you get it. It's easier if u look at porn for men and women to use some sexual audio so one can recognize then control the sensation.

I wish there were some other way.
