@aurum Honestly the women I work with who are mothers do not accept bullshit and are straight up. I find them to have higher competence than non-mothers.

Exactly. Being a mother is such an important job. Being a good mother, partner, community member, grandmother. These are damn valuable things.

or any other role women tend towards.

We need one another. I know this is true.

and not easy!!

There was a viral social media poll & thought experiment running through a few social media platforms recently - a vast number of women independently responded that their immediate reaction to being the last woman alive would be profound fear and self-preservation, with top responses involving escaping or ending their lives before being subjected to forced capture or violence by men.

With answers like that, it is hard to argue that the sexes are equal. Huge domain/category error. It also points to women being aware of the differences, despite the idealistic notion "we can do what they can". The reliance each sex has on each other is hidden in the atomised society we live in today.

The average reaction of a men to being the only male left on earth:

Oh no (yes), capture me, what are you going to do with me. 😏👀

@Inliytened1 Yes, but there was still daughters, mothers, families, communities. There was still trust, respect, and love back then even though there was darkness.

Even if women played a different social role, it was not entirely always in every case they were mistreated and spat on.

Stepping outside social norms is one thing. But, we should be nuanced here.

We can explore this without becoming vulgar like we are discussing this with just the buddies.

Men still loved their wives, their sisters, their daughters, and their communities.

This should not be overlooked…

Yes. This is all true.   I was focusing in on the darkness so thanks for balancing it out.  Yes there were many good things about the old times when it came to women.  The reason I honed in on the darker aspects is so that we are not blind to them.  That there is darkness. If it is all rainbows and butterflies..well..you know. We already assume butterflies and blue skies.

I would believe there's something to that.

Mothering is hard work and creates survival pressure.

Hahaha! Crazy how the lop-sidedness and ideals all fade away when you are presented with a good thought experiment that makes you enter a state of wonder and contemplation.

Men are like - DRAIN ME xD

@Inliytened1 There was love THROUGH the darkness. That’s why families, communities, cultures matter in part.

The differences in sexes are a beautiful thing. They are like two complementary top-notch designs.

Yes.

It's not right to diminish what women do. This just feeds the gender wars, because of course women will feel undervalued and unseen in their labor.

Appreciation for what both sexes bring to the table is essential to have good relationships.

It was a much harder life. Survival was really brought to the forefront. One storm could wipe out a family.  One intruder.  One illness.  It was very different. And no TV.

The differences in sexes are a beautiful thing. They're a top-notch complementary design. Is like discovering the differences in sexes across all living beings, it just leaves you in awe. And you don't judge a male flower as better as a femenine flower. They are a beautiful and complementary intelligent design.

You gotta laugh at the idiocy of male bias in the gender war. Just more ego judgement and improper use of the mind.

"Women or men are better" is like the nerd equivalent of adopting a football team and cheering like a monkey.
