I totally agree.

I think a lot of people on this forum get too comfortable with the chill and don't worry about doing much you're God it's all good side of the content. I think that's a good baseline for peace of mind and satisfaction but true happiness comes from reaching your goals and ultimately achieving your life purpose.

That's what my spreadsheet looks like, I shared it with @Deepak sadhwani for the accountability work we're doing together and he seemed to find it valuable.

It's very simple, I track habits by order of importance. I had 3 other ones (working out, reading and daily AI research) originally with my 75 day challenge but I found the other ones not as mandatory to me so I stuck with posting content daily which are the checkmarks on the left and daily meditation which are the ones in the middle. I've had periods of depression where I don't do anything but I still track each day, I think that's so important for a feeling of continuity and progress in life.

What habits do you track yourself and what's important to you at the moment?

For me it is my business - top priority. I have a small team that rely on me who won't get fed, go home safe and flourish if I don't do my job (and tracking is half of that). I employ others to track some of the below and I do so myself also.

Professionally:

 -  Finances, overall for the business and individually for each project (have to for the client and for control of the job).

 -  Gantt chart and and project programs. Master program for each build (needs adjusting daily) and forecasts (weekly reports for state/federal clients)

 -  Registers for consumables ordering and tracking logistics

 -  Subcontractor contract/claim tracking

Personally:

 - Fitness. I log all my workouts and keep records (Strava) + Garmin. I log my resistance training and max weigh progression

 - Health metrics in a spreadsheet (RHR, HRV, Sleep, Cycles, breathing, temp). Nutrition - logging changes, meal timing and mood.

 - Meditation: I note how I felt. Insights. What came up. What I was stuck on etc.

 - Image tracking: I take the same image of the same sunrise/sunset each day, file and timestamp them, and compile them. Mindfulness I guess

____

I didn't think I tracked a lot, but it appears I do when I read the above! That's Te for SURE (this is the typology topic, gotta circle back!). I love tweaking different metrics and looking at long term patterns and results. I practice Vipassana body scanning so I love altering what I input/output body wise and interocepting the results. Mood, breathing, energy, focus, cognitive bandwidth, sleep - all these things are affected with the smallest change. I wasn't always so sensitive and able to notice these things. Since really engaging in hardcore spirituality practice and dissolving a lot of conditioning I notice a lot more in my sensory experience that was previously blocked out. There is less in the way of direct experience that prevents me accessing what IS. I don't get in my way anymore. For these reasons I believe spirituality, truth, no-self, God realization, epistemology and philosophy are the key to unlocking a state of effortless power. It has been that way for me.

Especially after No-Self, and God realization. Two distinct collapses of the subject-object duality: one to realise object-object is all (no subject, No-Self) and the second to see self in all (only subject, God realization). Both were energetic releases: like all the internal resistance in a gear system just disappearing. Effortless power. I attribute Truth to unlocking my ability to execute. I was not like this at all prior. Permanent shift in baseline consciousness if you will.

@Natasha Tori Maru what is life like in 40 as an INTJ

can you now deal with low Se

low Se is a nightmare. can you deal with it now

I have really tried to work on Se.

Chaos is my undoing.

I trust I can deal with whatever happens now. I know I can deal with chaos. I can deal with crazy shit falling on my lap. Working in construction really helped with mastering this domain. I had an ENTJ mentor who had some great advice "Just trust you will be able to deal with whatever comes your way, even if unplanned". I also practice vipassana meditation - body scanning. Yoga. Lots of body connection stuff. Endurance cycling or 60-70kms on the weekend.

What sort of Se issues do you have?

OCEAN is the only scientifically validated personality test. Jung needs to go into more depth.

ESFP subconscious btw.

God is not scientifically validated either, and almost nothing in psychology is scientifically validated, just because they can show correlation between people answering they don't love going to parties and being low in trait extraversion in OCEAN tests doesn't mean the test is accurately showing something true about the persons actual psychology it's just showing there's a correlation in overlap between certain perceived preferences, like a person who doesn't love going partying also doesn't love hanging out in big groups. That's borderline circular logic though. The value mbti brings is not so much mbti itself but the cognitive functions as they examine the shapes through which we prefer to perceive & evaluate the world, which seems to me more philosophically & psychologically interesting than OCEAN.

Hhahaha why you say so?

That result is based on taking the test a few years ago, twice I think I got that. Also used to be in INTJ subreddit a while back then.

I and N definitely, very much apply, the T and J make sense too overall but not as clearly as I and N.

I have not read so much into this system as it seems some of you guys have, so I don't know much about the differences between the terms beyond the basics, but some of the categorizations relate to how I myself think of human tendencies overall so I think theres value in the distinctions made

The IN seems right but you seem like INFP to me. Take that with a grain of salt because I'm not an expert.

@Joshe Sugarcoat seems to have some T going on (not  "that kind" of T, you know what I mean 👀).

When I identify a strong Fi user, I see them making assertions without using many connective prepositions like "because", "as", "therefore", because that is how logic is expressed (connecting different things explictly through linguistic structure). I could point out three examples of this on the forum, but they likely wouldn't appreciate it as "being logical" is generally seen as a virtuous thing.

Intuitive Fi users in a discussion will often suggest possible conceptual interpretations that could be conceptually rich and possibly valid, but they will less often justify them or again explicate them in connection to other things that could be relevant in the discussion (and they can often end up being quite irrelevant to the discussion overall; it's just something that they "thought about" because they value it and they want to share that).

I don't inherently find this aspect of my own thinking that interesting, rewarding, or fun.

It's just another tool like a wrench or a screwdriver. I'm not so enamoured with it that I think I AM the wrench...

It's not just another tool. The process was automatic. The dominant function is like water to a fish. My Ni is not a tool I use on purpose. I do it without even knowing it.

I'm not my Ni, but it does comprise a significant chunk of my cognitive architecture and explains much of my behavior and outputs. Ti is a description of a processes, not who you are. It's more so a large part of what you are.

On 9/17/2026 at 4:33 AM, eos_nyxia said:

I get that. I think you need some sort of accountability process with yourself where you occasionally ask yourself not just if you are capable of introspecting correctly (both perceiving and interpreting), but if you have the emotional drive to be honest enough with yourself. (Although I suspect that with INTJ types, honesty with oneself is NOT an issue or relatively minimal!)

I'm not sure if all INTJs are like this, but personally, my accountability process is: does the map track reality. It either does or doesn't. I don't have any preference for what is true, therefore am not tempted to bullshit myself via emotional attachment to a particular answer. My main failure mode is converging too early.

I've spent a lot of time in non-native environments around non-native people, both being forced and choosing to adapt to them (but often not the other way around). I've also done a ton of shadow work and a lot of journaling across my lifetime, and have spent a lot of time and energy trying to even myself out. A good example is how weak my Se function is naturally is that I was very, very unathletic as a child (without having a visible disability or physical illness), have always contended with the intensity of sensory sensitivities, and I even physically developed slower than my peers. It was like my body decided to dump ALL of its stat points into "higher" traits like intelligence/ willpower/ wisdom and I was a glass cannon of a human being for a while until I could grind my other stats lol. I have very heavily compensated for this starting in my mid-to-late teens and now I would legitimately be considered very athletic, but I am heavily constrained by working with my intrinsic physical weaknesses and limits (e.g. hypermobility). I value this more because I worked very hard for it, and equally I get bored of things that come to me too easily if I'm just doing it for my own amusement and exploration (rather than to serving a higher purpose). I've got that appetite for novelty and I NEED genuine challenge or else I feel like a miserable shell of a person.

Otherwise, I would probably still be closer my childhood self, having my """super deep thoughts""" but then walking into a door or wall because I stopped noticing it was there again, or tripping over literally nothing and rolling onto my ankle, ****just because****

The model isn't tracking competence in domains. It's tracking which processes run by default. The default function is the one you never had to run on purpose. It took you a lot of effort to develop Se, and it took you very little to do whatever it is that you were good at from the start.

Seems like I've seen her on multiple occasions implying and even flat out saying that too much thinking is taking place lol ("this is wrong, I don't like it"). And I've noticed the bolded bit several times.

That's a good heuristic about the connectives. Reminds me of The Secret Life of Pronouns.
