Horror Movies?

Tremors and Tremors 2 are some of my fave films. Light horror.

I don't like jump-scares though.

The Silence of the Lambs - another ace horror film.

Slasher and gore porn stuff isn't horror to me.

I watch a lot of horror movies . Obviously they will trigger emotions of fear and scare the shit out of you . But often their depth and the message they convey is staggering. They are also super engaging .  The movie series SAW is my favorite. There is also a movie called Melancholia which is pretty nice .

I remember enjoying the original Silent Hill movie, quite a work of art.

But I'm curious, what was deep about SAW ?

I just can't get myself to watch something like that.

Alien and Aliens are probably the best horror films.

Subgenres under the umbrella ... I personally just don't go for that as horror. So I am making up my own definitions, I'll claim that 😶‍🌫️

I recently investigated the horror movie ice berg. As someone who never really got into horror at all. Interesting experience. I suggest you don't do that light heartedly. Because this stuff will fuck up your mind profoundly.

Btw. at some point I got the the question of "can God ever be traumatized?". Because trauma is just a "unfinished, unprocessed, non-sensical disturbance of mind" so to say. Which, if you're omniscent cannot really be. But then God being Infinite could open up the possibility of God being traumatized as well.

Anyhow, I made a small list of movies that I would want to watch some day.

EDIT: don't look up the two last stages. These are not really movies. These are just gore clips of real wars and violence cut together by some dark net weirdos / or just strange fetish porn. So no artistic value in them at all.

The story behind SAW is that the guy had cancer and he wanted to practice Sadistic torments on healthy people who don’t appreciate their health and those who die ..die. And those who survive often survive with catastrophic consequences like losing their legs or one of their eyeballs and after they survive they appreciate their lives more .

He is the most hidden essence  ..nothing can grasp him .. nothing below him or more subtle than him .The ego is the belief I’m separate from god . Because being god is too good to be true .No matter how dark it gets or difficult it gets ..no matter how long it is going to take .. my destiny is the infinite happiness and infinite joy and love as the best thing ever ..God .  “

Many years ago, there was girl in one of my classes at university, who was in a terrible car crash. Afterwards her face was distorted, she couldn't speak, saliva freely rolled down from the corners of her mouth. At first everyone thought she was permanently mentally handicapped, like a vegetable. Meanwhile her mental faculties were actually still fine. She had a kind of awakening like that. Wrote a book assisted by one of those type of machines that Hawkins used.

Interesting. Unfortunately these kinds of tragedies happen in real life all the time ..not just in movies. Sometimes the movies are inspired by real life stories . For me personally I don’t need anything horrible happening to me as a wake up call to appreciate what I have . I’m grateful for everything I have in my life and I’m not resentful against life or god .

I have not watched that one yet, but ironically I did have a fly infestation in my home very recently. I killed 10 of them in the past couple of days!

It’s more than just interesting—it’s really good!

David Cronenberg also made eXistenZ, which is pretty good too.

Mike Flanagan's horror tv shows are great.

Midnight Mass is excellent. It has cult-like elements, and by the end, it even touches on nondual themes.
