Also a lot of these debates happen because we define our terms inadequately.

What does shallow mean? It can mean anti-intellectual, it can be does not appreciate the multiple fascets of life, it can mean focusing on status markers as opposed to other personality traits, etc.

I like to talk mostly about money and sex because I find it grounds life into actionable goals and you can use many deeper fields to explore those two. A lot of intellectuals get losts into endless debates that don't really serve their life like the perfect crowd is the looksmaxxing crowd that doesn't actually learn how to talk to women and create beautiful experiences with them but will be able to tell us about the cephalic index optimization and give tips on optimizing your craniofacial morphology. Or college students that learn a lot about communist theory but have never tried starting a business or a non-profit and actually helping the people in their community. 

I think nerds is an intellectual that foucses on theory as opposed to being a practicioner, it also has to do with social trends as usually nerdy topics are not mainstream unlike makeup for example. Gaming is starting to become mainstream and so the average joe is a gamer but not nerdy until he gets deeper into like theorycrafting or like dungeons and dragon.

The more unconscious, self-biased, selfish, self-deceived, the more immature one is.

The more someone matures, the more they become aware of their own inner lies that they tell themselves, face it, and stop doing it.

Basically integrity is what it comes down to. The more integrous a mind is, the more mature it is.

How honest are you with yourself, and others? How much does your actions cause pain to others? How much have you faced your inner demons and shadows, and integrated them?

Genuine empathy (not people pleasing) is also a very strong sign of maturity. The more empathy you have developed, the more mature you are. The more you are able to see the big picture and see that we are all just part of one, the more mature your mind is.

But in a place dedicated to conscious work and psychological development, why are you confused that people take maturity seriously?

That's what I see.

If we use that definition, everybody has some bias including women. Because I don't see women looking at men from men's POV, they look at men from female POV too. It is not that I don't have the capacity to not look from female woman's POV. I'm way passed that.  The difference is that I don't get swallowed up by the female POV and own my own POV/frame while others are swallowed up by the dominating mainstream feminist POV. And for the record, I totally subscribe to base level feminism. I just don't subscribe to female egocentrism: for example that emotions should be more important than truth.
