Music Frame Discussion

@Carl-RichardThis is Vervaeke right?

I agree that purpose, coherence, significance, connectedness are crutial to meaning, but I'm describing and ordering these terms in a very perculiar and extremely precise and specific way.

I am currently experimenting with numerology by assigning numbers to different aspects of being with the goal of using these as building blocks to build more complex aspects of being.

I'm trying to find 101 (100 + 0) of these building blocks which right now I call "traces". If you are interested to know which they are, follow the development of my journal where I post most of my thought process every day:

Entry March.23.3.5 is most relevant.

Meaning, purpose, coherence, significance, connectedness in the trace ontology.

Meaning
    = 12
= "second manifestation of the continuum"

11 = Idea

Continuum = 10

Purpose
    = dharma
    = path
    = telos
    = 40

Fun fact:
Kleos
= "last step of the path"
    = 49

Fun fact nr. 2: 50 = sunyata.

Coherence
    might be complexity-resonance
    = 30-45 = 3045

Significance
    might be 49 actually
    could also be 48
    = potenciality.

49 is "manifested potence" so weather significance is 48 or 49 depends on weather it is implies manifestation or not.

Connectedness
    is spacial-resonance
    = 2345

Connection requires seperation but not fragmentation nor unity. That's why space = 212246 = unity-duality-harmony = 23 is an important part.

I find there are 3 different things I am attempting to do when I listen to music - all are to enhance, alter, or have an experience just for itself.

  • Listen for pure auditory sensation, analysis, pleasure, discernment to induce whatever state may come. Here I am seeking JUST the auditory experience and remove all other senses. Close my eyes. Still.
  • Listen and select in an attempt to amplify/mirror or somehow assist me in expressing a mood, or emptying a mood/feeling/emotion by using music to dive deeper into it. Music to help articulate what state I am already in. I do not want to change my mood/state/emotion/feeling. I want to deepen it. Supplement another sense experience.
  • Listen & select in an attempt to induce an altered state/mood/feeling/emotion based on what the music itself can induce in me. I am seeking to be influenced to change my mood/state/feeling/emotion. Supplement another sense experience.

This then touches on each person receptivity to novel auditory experience.

Depending on my own receptivity, music will play a different role.

Some jazzy stuff is also very good for contemplation mood. Something like Pat Metheny. For me is that + walking these days. I can enter into an auto-critic cycle with a good head space plus feels like walking in a movie.

I love that guy so much

Sometimes the song title matches a lot with the song:

It makes me think of a monstrous massive thing (turns out the lyrics is actually about a city, I didn't know that before now 🙂).

I saw them live last year. I could not stop nodding my head to the music. I never thought I would end up enjoying that kind of music. My signature is like a Meshuggah lyric.

It's un-non-noddable once you get the song. And of course that can be a challenge because the way they write the songs is more like deriving a mathematical formula than "playing from the soul" as they say (which has pros and cons, but damn, sometimes it's just beautiful).

They essentially write their music as if it's electronic music and then they play it on their instruments (they use a drum machine and try to find an odd-time rhytmical pattern that they repeat in a certain way over a straight time signature, and that's their creative process most of the time; so much for "nobody buys a song for its rhythm" 🤪).

And can I just say the massive cojones it takes to perform that particular song live with the whole band playing at the same time in the studio and that being used for the album (of course while splicing together the best parts from multiple performances, but still)? These guys are tighter than a box of sardines. Let me re-iterate: the sounds you are hearing in this particular YouTube video is the entire band playing live.

Music preference is like sexual orientation.  :D

I think people are not serious enough about music preference.

Two people with different music preferences are experiencing silence differently.

They're experiencing life differently, it's a different frame and wiring.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

I love their consistency and integrity within their art, very committed. That album is one of my favorites, besides Koloss.

Probably more like food taste. I hated olives when I was young but now I like them. Something similar can happen to music. Is very common to outgrow certain music style as you exhaust it.

Imagine that happening with sexual orientation... haha.

I am the impossible made reality.

I know I havent said anything here for days, but that’s because I have been working on an art project!

For me, deeply painful and emotional music is one of the most beautiful music to dance and express myself to. It is so raw and genuine.

Here is my latest art piece doing so. Allow it to slowly build, as it is real artistic story, and not an instagram trend.

The writing/caption really complements it.

Headphones for the full immersive experience.

Brother, you missed the essence of the performance if that’s all you got!

It was emotional. The song choice was great.

What they want the silence to become biases their music choice.

What if this is just fascination + identity + seriousness being inflated into universal importance?
