Leo's DemystifySci Podcast Appearance

96 posts in this topic

I felt like they pushed back in ways that were reasonable to have a full conversation.  I can tell this was a discussion among artists.  You have to expect a difference of opinion and even value that -- and even more, celebrate that through a higher relation.

I loved the uncomfortable silence when Leo told them everything is imagined.😄

Loved it! Although I’d suggest that in the future, it might help to have specific episodes or clearly defined sections of the podcast.

  1. For example, one section/episode could be explicitly framed as: “This is about truth as it is, no matter how impractical, immoral, or anti-human it might be. Truth is truth, and if you claim you want to know the truth, then we have to throw everything else away.” This section would be for the “truth psychopaths.”
  2. Then there could be another section/episode focused on moral implications, utility, and how to apply infinite truth and its aspects to a finite human system.

I feel like a lot of the “counters” were simply due to the inherent implications of what truth might lead to. So there was a lot of, “Oh no, but we don’t want to talk about this if this is what it leads to.” It felt similar to how a child might think: “Oh no, let’s not talk about health unless it leads to me eating candy!” So if there were a separation like, “First, let’s just talk about what is, and then let’s see how to apply it,” that might have added more clarity and structure. Let's address what health is, and then we can find ways to make vegetables sweet.

Nonetheless, I really enjoyed it. Awesome one! Super excited for more podcast appearances. Super fun, contemplative, and useful.

Gotcha, I guess that’s what podcasts usually are... Oh well, enjoyable nonetheless! :D

@Leo Gura, I am amazed how you survived the insanity of your awakenings, especially with your health situation.

Have you ever felt that you might go mad, become clinically insane, or lose/break your mind?

Always great to see Leo chatting with people.  I just wish this happens here in this community .until when do we have to talk like soldiers to army generals. I feel like it's time for more intimate conversations with him. Come on some of us here has been around since day one . Overall very cool podcast .

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

I always think bout how to bridge the language they are speaking from, to the one, solely good place leo is speaking from, but hey, theres nothin that would say there needs to be a communicative bridge between. It just presents so much potential, especially as its like, so many ppl are in fact coming from a different place where its like "Well i, me, find morality to be... this..." Without that psychedelic exp., the whole reasoning for where we're comin from, it seems unusual nd confusing to them, probably. Or they see it, and arent sure how to make that bridge in trying theirselves to connect those two~call em archetypes.

p.s. its dam snowy outside. shite. its good

Paraphrase from Poimandres (Corpus Hermeticum): "... that which is in the Word is also in ourselves."

Greek Magical Papyri (PGM): "I call upon the Word of the All, that which binds heaven and earth, and let it manifest in the circle."

Plato – Cratylus (439–440): "A name is a likeness of the thing itself; if rightly spoken, it carries the essence of what it names."

I have to ask though, what did you mean by "blood" and "holes in walls" from your awakenings? Can you elaborate?

That was standard for me growing up as a stage red autistic nutcase being fed drugs by a corrupted, unconscious medical system

It's such a basic word hello. "Salubrious" that Leo used in the video is more impressive.

That first thumbnail isn't very flattering, to say the least

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie
