Its so foundational, it really is hard to imagine socializing without smiling. But I would say it comes in degrees and the over the top smiling is definitely conformity. On pictures especially. Btw people back in the day looked grim on pictures because the logic was that a picture is about capturing how reality is in that moment. The idea to smile on pictures was founded later. 

I remember the day when I first learned the socializing technique to smile and laugh at shit I dont find funny. It was a grim day. It took away much of my happiness as happiness was now functional.

I think depends on personality.

Circumcision. It's primarily cultural, a way to physically conform. To show that your Jewish, Muslim and not one of those uncircumcised Greeks and Romans. America believes its "hygienic" to circumcise, but only in the sense that jerking off is unhygienic since they believed that masturbation caused illness. Bunch of religious nonsense. 

There are some rare conditions where circumcisions can help medically, but even there I think that doctors tend to overestimate the need due to a cultural bias for circumcision. If you tell a Muslim doctor that you have issues with your foreskin I bet he is going to recommend circumcision to a higher degree than a European doctor.

How would you know? It's way more normal to want to stay in a relationship after one cheats than you think, but people are going to criticize you lots if you choose to stay.

Just imagine the akwardness of you crying your eyes out to your family when you discover your partner cheated on you and then bringing them to the next family gathering. Everyone's going to look at you weird and hate your partner. You will lose their respect.

Wabi-sabi in Japanese aesthetics is the appreciation of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete."  So different from our western notion of aesthetics which seems to favor symmetry, perfection, flawlessness.
