@koops These are more 'surface layers' and traits of the general men and women who are driven by their 'animal' and not their soul in its entirety. Now its important not to suppress "the animal" but at the same time learn to merge the "lower self" with the "higher self" (best way i can put it). 

I can understand that is (most people in the world), but there are even greater levels that require not of that, even becomes somewhat repulsive to do those things in the way they usually are done.
