Weird non-tourist places like Africa, Asia, India, etc.

Wow, I hope you’ll share about your trips and the impact they have on you if you get to go to those places.

I would be happier in the Congo than in Europe.

What do you narrate

Congo is a country like any other except that the people are black and poorer.

And Europe doesn't mean anything, it goes from Lisbon to Moscow, from the megalopolis of London to the small village in Moldova.

Stating things for shock value is one thing, actual preferences based on ones most probable actions are another. I don't know why, but I'd dare to guess that you choosing to live on a continent with objectivelly best standards of living, is much more likely than choosing to live in a country that's been plunged into civil war since the early 90s lol

I’ve been to many countries and done some off the path traveling, spending weeks riding buses up the coast. Also been to some pretty damn touristic cities and places. I’ve found you kinda need a balance between both because some places that get zero tourists are boring and get nothing for a reason. There’s not much to do there and the nature is not as astounding as some better known places. What I try to do is research a bit before and feel it out. I make sure it’s a place actually worth going to. I’m in Russia now and honestly there’s a lot of cities and places here that are kinda boring… they have maybe like one statue or one thing worth seeing there but a lot of time and money to get there. I’m trying to get the best bang for my buck between fun/adventure/nature/etc but all the places that are amazing all around will have some degree of tourism. I heard Thailand has a ton of amazing stuff and gets a lot of tourists but it’s still possible to avoid the crowds and annoying people if you do some research, avoid gringo hostels and resorts.

You know there are Russians in the Congo

I don't mean I would live in the Congo. I mean travel.

That'll be crap too.
Especially if it's just for a trip.

Congo is easy, also a nice place to visit if you want to experience something exotic and out of the ordinary. However, I bet there is a place where Leo wouldn't have the courage to ever visit again, I think that place is Leo's country of origin.

Frankly, I'd have more courage to visit Congo than to go in 2025 to Leo's country of origin.

@Daniel Balan There is no point in me going there. Russia is a known quantity to me. I don't need more of the same.

Plus, fuck them for starting a stupid war. Bunch of brainwashed idiots. Ukriane is Russia's Iraq.

I would binge-watch Kill Tony podcasts for a few weeks for that reason. People come on stage and share their crappy, below-average lives. Makes it relatable, and the crowd loves them for it. When someone tries to play a character, they get booed off

Haha everyone projecting their own reasons for Leo's travel destinations onto him 🤪

How far we strayed from the main topic
