It is worst than that. Saying deep metaphysical things that directly threatens the survival and fantasies of girls? That's like trying to kill the baboons, they will run harder than they can breathe.

I think you underestimate how much social proof and status can overcome these issues. Even pua gurus have groupies and that’s the most repellent possible online persona.

I am a lapsed scientist and I’ve made it work for me despite having nowhere near the pop online profile Leo has. That said, for it to work with game:

1) girl needs to indicate some at least superficial interest in the topic

2) need to discuss it in a playful way without going into logical depth until you’re already pair-bonded. What matters is that you have status in an area she is interested in, not the details. You go into details only if she tries to test your knowledge, and even so it’s often a trap to push you into logic-mode and kill the vibe, so you stay playful.

I had some short joke in my profile about being a failed professor and 40% of my matches would ask about it and about 1/3 of those would schedule dates. Was a good screen for girls with at least some intellectual interests.

Notice I’m making a self-deprecating joke about it, not bragging or going into any depth unless prompted by the girl.

If I were Leo I’d put something a bit playful like “alleged cult leader” and you can bet a good percentage of matches would ask, “what cult did you start?”

Attractiveness and intelligence are on bell curves. But the world’s big enough that there are a lot of women in the top 5-10% of both. And many of them have idiosyncratic taste but it involves a lot of volume and effort to find them.

You gotta have the most perfect photos for online dating to really work, overcome the volume issue and get plenty of matches. Not just photo quality or technically sound photos which are now easier than ever to get due to iPhones, but actually look the part. Not like a normie. Amazing fashion. Not overweight. You have to turn heads in your photos. Work on your body and lifestyle. If you’re a bit chubby you can hide in much better in colder countries and it’s less of an issue. Any place where a beach or summer weather is a big part of the lifestyle of the city it’s important to get into shape.  And in addition to all this they make men pay. So even if you have a free account and excellent photos and look incredible, jacked. Like you could be an influencer or something… you’re still going to not match with all the top girls as much as you need to in order to have the volume to get a substantial amount of dates. You will be paying for boosts and gold and whatnot.

A few hundred dollars a month plus the upfront costs of the photos. That’s really nothing if this is important to you.

Those “upfront costs” for photos is pretty damn big though keep in mind. It’s a glow up, getting into shape, getting money and living a genuinely interesting lifestyle. A normie selling car insurance and with a stable job with average looks and high quality studio photos will still get subpar results. You have to be truly stunning in some way to stand out online.

You can make it work with less outlandish photos if you niche down a bit + churn through higher volume to find people responsive to your niche.

My niche was intellectual girls (grad students, artists, journalists, occasionally lawyers and doctors) into guys from the Anglosphere. My profile and photos were optimized for that. And I bought several boosts a week, sometimes several boosts a day in the winter when it was too cold to do daygame.

You don’t need huge amounts of money to do this, $80k per year or so is fine if you can make it in a few hours per day (possible with most high-skill remote jobs).

@nerdspeak

Being a scientist = authority / small form of status

Being a new age spiritual leader = status

Being a pure savage ego deconstructor = threat

Remember that you were talking about using Leo's following to show status and social proof, rather than to try to date the people in his following. These are two very different strategies. But yes, surely it works on some girls, but I would argue that most girls would click on one of his videos and get weirded out.

And as for your "lapsed scientist" category, that still is status to some form. Better than being a mister nobody, broke and living in their mother's basement. Almost like a failed influencer / DJ, they still probably got some clout and connections before failing.

Other than that, you made good points. Having girls being interested in Leo's work is extremely rare tho. I have a lot of first hand experience, and lessons from the hard way. And it is even more rare to have attractive girls interested in his work - they have zero survival pressure to do so. Quite the opposite in fact.

If Leo did Manifestation & Astrology, that would be a completely different matter.

  • John is not a creep, but very controversial and sociopathic. No offense: Majority of guys here are creeps by the simple fact that you are talking about woman rather than getting laid. Getting laid = anti-creep.

The reason for his: no one here bothered to even try his course and judging soley based on his ego.

In school I always observed many instances were Highschool Jocks would bully the dorks into oblivion, and the dorks would throw these verbal "haymakers" trying to get back at them --  but it always comes off as cringe.

This is what I'm feeling now when I see these dumbasses comment on Jmulv.

Honestly... let these retards hate on him. Its very clear that many of them never touched a pussy until their 20s or 30s or never.

I corporate now. No more jokes or I report, yes?

Yes that can work. I do agree niching is important, authenticity as well. Sometimes it’s better to catch a few where it will likely work out than having a bigger reach and interest but more girls to sift through. I think where you are located plays a big role too. Some cities don’t have intellectuals. For example, what your niche is would be more of a struggle to build in a city like Rio de Janeiro where they have poor education and don’t value these things, but you would easily get 100 matches in a weekend in a European city.

Leo’s perspective is largely Vegas… I visited Vegas and to be honest it has a more Dubai Miami vibe to it and a more mainstream Hollywood athletic look is what’s in vogue there.

@Leo Gura you got to travel more bro. Leave the country, go digital nomad for a years. You got the money and literally the perfect job for it but you stay in Vegas... There are different girls in Europe and Asia and no it’s not the same girls that go as tourists to Vegas. I honestly couldn’t imagine building a dating life in Vegas being rewarding after so many years. Go out and see the world. It will def give you a different perspective on women and you will get a lot of matches in different cities.

@Lyubov Traveling the world to get laid is not a priority for me. I got bigger fish to fry.

Not just for that but the wider perspective on traveling, relating, people, culture and the world. It can really help expand consciousness and women are just one nice aspect of it. If you believe relating to women and traveling can widen your perspective on life, grow you and raise consciousness then I would highly suggest it. Women are just one of the many pieces of the whole that make it worthwhile.

@Lyubov I do plan to travel more in the future but my work and health didn't allow it for the last 5 years.

I have to say I am surprised.

I am no Brad Pitt, but even I got dates from online dating. I’m trying to figure out why it hasn’t worked for you.

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie
