Hey Leo, have you considered migrating this forum and website to a cloud provider like AWS? You could probably lower the costs and efforts of maintaining it, while increasing performance

However, these errors are often simply sporadically spread throughout the day, suggesting other issues.

The ideal outcome would be migrating to XenForo, like DMT-Nexus; it's much more lightweight, extensible, and feature-rich. Though it's likely too late for that at this point, but one can dream.

Forum is on lightening speed this morning. I can't keep up. Thanks Leo for fixing the issue. I was getting annoyed with this stupid thing getting kicked off every few minutes.

I am aware of the issue.

The hosting company I am using has slowly deteriorated in quality.

I have to move the site to a new company to make it reliable again, but this involves a lot of pain in the ass. But I will have to do it.

I still remember fucking dialup taking the home landline. Screams from family members wanting to make calls...

Wasn't all digital music burnt back then, was downloading not just loading right?

We're apparently about 100x faster now, just ripped 6 Playlists from youtube at once to return in about an hour.

Most I found was pirated and on Napster/ LimeWire - that was if you wanted a soft copy locally stored

But there were small amounts of streamable videos and music / audio you had to wait to load 😭 

The worst was when you went to a website and it had images/banners all over it - rip cup of tea return in 5 minutes 😅
