So dare i say that the most realistic solution to stop the genocide is to get palestinians out of Israel ? Even if morality dictates justice for the palestinians, its not what is realistically achievable. The first problem with that is that they dont want to leave their home. But keeping them in the limbo of possible negotiations is not helping them. Even if things could go back like it was before october 7th, it wouldnt be a solution for the situation. Israel isnt a secular country, its a theocracy that regards jewish people higher than non jewish people. For an initiative like the Arab Peace Initiative to happen, the world needs to be something that the world isnt today. Even if there is a new president in the US in 2029 that doesnt support Israel with their whole being, thats more than 2 more years of this. And the expectation is to make Israel reform from a theocracy to a secular country ? Thats going to take more than not sending them weapons and prosecuting Netanyahu. And even if the palestinians leave behind their homes, that doesnt magically solve the whole problem with Israel. It stops the immediate suffering of palestinians. And you are right to think that displacing nearly 2 million people is not a good solution either. I dont claim to be an expert or even that i have a good understanding of anything really at this point. But i can see how politics needs more nuance than demanding "the right thing". Also this doesnt mean that the history of Palestine should be white washed. The israeli government should absolutely be held responsible for what they did. And just because change doesnt happen from one day to the next, it doesnt mean it shouldnt be pursued.

I agree with this. But i also think our current way of doing things has been pushed to its limits of viability. Fascism is in its renaissance, inequality is higher than ever, global conflicts only seem to get worse and worse, ecological problems are being ignored.

I have been thinking lately that “evacuating” the remaining 2 million palestinians from Israel might be the best course of action. It is a very problematic solution, but the arab peace initiative is not going to happen. Of course it is very easy for me to type this as an outsider.

@Leo Gura @Leo Gura Isnt promoting and pushing leftist ideology the next step in development ? It doesnt sit with me right that continuing neo-liberalism, but just better is what tier 2 politics is. I understand that there is nuance to this and Israel is a good example. I dont think its probable that an Israel where israelis and palestinians live as equals is going to happen. It feels so wrong to say this though. I just want the genocide to stop. For starters.

Oakeshott’s conservativism was HUGE for me. Conservatism should be a meta perspective that goes along any progressive ideology. I realize im not immune to being ideologically captured, and i have been participating in ideology. I think the political events of the last 10 years, but especially the 2020’s reinforced it in me. With that being said, i think its still correct to say neo-liberalism isnt some kind of Tier 2 / stage yellow political orientation. And the fundamental flaws of capitalism are very prominent today.

Well, do you mean UFOs or Aliens here? I cant recall a convincing video about an Alien. I know there are several pictures that could be absolutely real. Either way, my standpoint is still that its more likely than not that there is non human intelligence on earth. I stay opemninded about it. My uncle swears that he saw an UFO by the way.

@OBEler What i found interesting about it is that the Alien has a better methaphysical understanding than what i imagine a normie could come up with operating from a materialistic point of view. Im not saying its head on, but they surely did research during the creative writing process. Do you think its just full on larping and i just see into it too much ? I also like that he says nuclear war is going to happen in about 50 years which would put it right at the start of Trumps first term. But its easily explained with the video itself coming out in 2016 i think. Its also pretty cool that he talks about AGI, which is a super salient topic today, but not in 2016. Except within science fiction i guess. So thats why i like it, i think of it more like a meme, rather than reality. And yes i absolutely entertained the idea that it could be real somehow, but i admit its rather silly.
