How to transcend physical pain

82 posts in this topic

@Sugarcoat I dont think you can trascend pain per se. Unless you are not in the body 24/7, pain will always exists, suffering though, that's ego and can definitely be trascended.

In other words, I think only when you actually die or somehow achieve god consciousness 24/7, like I imagine aliens being this way.

Do you think David Goggins would do this if he pursued awakening?

😂😂

I imagine the YouTube shorts with phonk and his “you don’t know me son” when his decapitated head appears with a judgmental look

Maybe I worded it wrong, I should’ve written “suffering” because I meant the suffering aspect of pain (if they are different things, to me it seems pain is same as suffering)

I heard a story about a man transcending the suffering of his severe pain . It’s extremely difficult it seems but I believe it’s possible .

There are people with that level of determination for conciousness out there. They turn me on.

Maybe it’s not obvious but I was joking I would never do that

Are there people (except Jesus) who have voluntarily been tortured for a good sake? That’s next level superhuman in a way

I shifted the example a bit inside my mind. There are people who would go through a similar levels and intensity of pain volunteerily to achieve certain goals just with sheer passion for higher growth. That's inspiring for me. The Mexican torture thing was dumb of course, lol. But the idea in its essence is nice.

@Sugarcoat You just keep scaring yourself and having panic attacks about dying. You you will die your memories will stop, everything you know is going away and is already gone. Its how you awaken yourself. I cant really tell you how to panic from it its an intellectual intelligence thing. I used to get insane panic attacks i would be sitting watching a movie and get the thought that i am never going to exist again and death is inevitable and I would get a fight or flight response and I would literally get up and run down the road. Running from death. I would be running down the road going holy fuck holy fuck holy fuck running from death.

A seeker is someone looking for a way out of death. You will only find the way out if you are taking it seriously. The way out is the exact same way we think dying is just recontextualized.

Imagine you are God watching a TV and the character randomly starts to panic and runs for no reason. The character must be seeing something thats not there.

There was a video of sadhguru saying he found an enlightened being and he was in the hospital and they kept telling him he was going to die so he panic and panic and panic and then eventually something happens.

David groggons is running from death. If he had to stop moving he would lose it! He's not enlightened he's projecting that he's a pussy wimp he just found a way to turn his ego off while running and working out. Its going to come back when he can't move anymore. He's literally so scared of dying that he uses running and working out as a cope.

Have you ever seen an enlightened person who is ripped and works out non stop? No they are all physically weak people with bellies.

It is!

How you know it’s your last life?

Because, whatever you gained with mind, you will lose it, either with physical / mind death or physical / mind death (spiritually).

@Sugarcoat Jesus didn't voluntarily do what he did he just follow God and thats that God had in store for him. He was voluntary on what God tells him to do and what God tells him to do is the situation he is in.

There is a mystic very interesting, Al Hallaj, The guy started preaching in the squares and gathering crowds in Iran in the 9th century. He said things that were radically direct to the absolute, much better than Jesus. It was inevitable that they would kill him. They imprisoned him for 9 years, then gave him 100 lashes, cut off his hands and feet, and then crucified him. Supposedly he was singing in the torture, maybe it's just a history but he has a lot of great quotes. The most famous is ana al-haqq, I'm the truth ("the truth" is one of the names of god in Quran). In other quotes when he say "you" he means the absolute, then what he is, but speaking from the human structure is "you" . I think he's the best mystic that is known. He said for example

"Between You and me, there is only me. Remove me from myself so that only You remain."

"Your spirit mingled with mine like wine with water. If something touches me, it touches You."

"I saw You with the eye of the heart. I asked: Who are You? You answered: You."

"The soul is His veil. Remove the soul, and you will find the Beloved."

"You do not see me, but I see You. And in seeing You, I forget myself."

"The truth of love is the annihilation of the self."

"Between God and me there is only me. If I were to remove myself, only He would remain."

"The fire of Your love consumed me. My soul turned to ash, and only You remained"

"What appears as 'I' is only a veil; behind it, there is nothing but Him

Maybe it's a bit weird that he's  saying "you", "god", "beloved", like to someone, but I'd say it means that me, from the structure, or I as a structure, open up and see something, the reality, I perceive it and say: you are the absolute. And at a given moment, I am that, there is no structure, it is transparent, it disappears, there is only that and that is me. It's not "you", it's the reality, the totality. Seems "another" from the structure, when the structure dissapear it's what you are.

@Sugarcoat I think that physical pain can be transcended sometimes while sometimes it results in death. Which is the end of pain in either case.

Whereas emotional pain can be transcended with the right relationship to it. For example acceptance and embracing of distress. This may sound extremely counterintuitive but it's true. Reality is not all sunshine and rainbows but it's not all dark. However, to reach the heaven you need to go through hell( Metaphorically speaking). To get to the positive you need to go through the negative.

Yes, like the structure that perceive the absolute is just an structure, the absolute lives, the structure is a corpse, is just an structure. The substance is the real thing. You are the substance, the structure becomes transparent, irrelevant, burned.

I wonder if that state of consciousness is possible for the average person

Because, Life begins with mind. End the mind now, and be conscious of where you are, and what You are. 😊

That's an interesting question: Can anyone be a mystic? Is it an innate disposition toward openness, or an attitude toward life that arises due to circumstances? Probably both. But I believe that if spirituality were explained clearly and simply, many more people would be open to this possibility. Incredibly, after thousands of generations, civilization, and science, spirituality is 99% completely fake. It's truly shocking, difficult to understand. It's not that almost no one is enlightened, it's that almost no one understands what spirituality is.
