10 months Homeless, I need Serious Advice

I was abruptly kicked out from my house 10 months ago. Without a warning. Without a single penny. By my "family".

Ever since then i have been trying to get back on my feet. But it has been extremely challenging. Incredibly challenging.

I can't go find a job just to make money . While at the same, feeling like i wanna die, all the time.

I found a job working at a kiosk few months ago. I was doing well at that job but i wasn't satisfied because i wasn't getting properly paid as the law says i should. And after politely pointing this out to my boss, i got fired (because he was afraid he might get into legal trouble and pay a fine).

After this, i was at a job interview for a well-known company here in Greece. As soon as i enteted the building i realized that all the family members of the boss, even his grandchildren were there "working".

I didn't get that job .

Just looking for a job is a serious challenge. I can't convey to a normal person who has never faced homelessness how much of a challenge it really is.

I don't even have wi-fi on my phone. I have to walk 30 minutes just to get access from somewhere.

Also i don't feel moved to chase , chase, chase , chase a job like many other people always tell.

I feel i am already doing my best. I keep myself clean , i attend NA meetings,i meditate, read, i push myself everyday, i don't do drugs.

Most jobs that are easy to find are traps: jobs where your mental and physical health gets ruined. So many jobs are also filled with toxic cigarette smoke, toxic people and disgusting car pollution.

I would like a job where i can be learning something valuable. I wanted to be a software programmer and i have intermediate level skills in Javascript, html, css. But noone really gave me a chance.

My biggest passion is non-duality , raising my Consciousness, peak mental performance, health, and exploring radical altered states of Consciousness.

I live somewhere in the woods in an abandoned old building.

I have not really received much help from other people. I have talked to church people, to people who work for the town, and got very little help, if any.

There have been many idiots who have said to one another "this guy is homeless", but have offered no help. (They have seen where i stay).

This has made me hate people even more.

Many days i feel suicidal. The last couple of days i have been feeling a nice sense of Serenity. Hope it lasts.

I was thinking to go to tourist areas and sell artificial intelligence images. I have already printed them. But i haven't done it.

My goal is to consistently make money every day even without a regular 9-5.

Below is one the images i printed . I also put it inside plastic.

I feel bad because i have something to offer but i don't have the social connections and the other unfair structural advantages that other people were born with.

If I was in your shoes I would just get any job to stabilize the situation. If you wish to escape homelessness you can't be picky. This means manual labor most likely. Factory work, slaughter houses, ware houses, construction, etc. It will be much harder if you don't want to work for a company.

Once your more stable and you begin accruing savings you can start thinking about higher education/training and begin aligning your life more with your values.

It's a tough situation but you just gotta start climbing. You'll have made it within a decade if you keep at it and work hard. Society will reward you for providing real value.

Why did your family kick you out? What did you do at home before? Have you ever had jobs before that kiosk job?

I completly agree with Basman, take a shitty job, rent a cheap apartment, live a cheap live and make some savings and from there you can change your life. This challenge can grow you a lot.

I don’t doubt what you are going through is unbelievably challenging. I have no logistical advice since this is not something I’ve ever been through and honestly you are living my worst fear. So I would keep your head held high and be proud knowing you are facing some shit most people would lose their pants over and you have been surviving, doing your best, which I definitely believe is true given what you wrote here. It will eventually change, really know this too will pass. Don’t go into that place of despair. You said yourself you meditate, so you know there is a kingdom within of peace and inner guidance. Drop the illusions. You are experiencing homelessness, you aren’t homeless. This doesn’t define you. It’s a hard chapter of life you will overcome.

@SQAADYou have to sell so many AI pictures to make any money. You make 1 dollar on 1 photo you need to sell 10 photos to eat. That can take 8 hours and probably sometimes not at all.

Sorry to hear of your struggles. Tough situation.

That doesn't seem realistic in your situation. How about getting a simple manual labor 9-5 job just to save up some money so you're not trying to launch a business from such a desperate situation. You need some financial cushion to work with.

Aren't there some basic jobs around like stocking groceries, delivery boy, truck driver, lawn work, security guard, bar bouncer, etc?

Look into something like truck driving. It can pay quite well with little experience. Trucking companies can even offer training and sign-up bonuses.

I know merchant marine ships offer great jobs and great pay with zero experience. They offer free training. And you get to travel around the world on a big ship. It's more interesting than normal jobs and offers months of time off.

I suggest getting more creative about searching for jobs.

@SQAAD It was already been said but I say also :

forget your business idea. It doesn't create value and therefore it's a waste. Go mini jobbing until you are somehow stable. Don't fall into the victim trap (I see already some signs). One step after another. There are so many interesting mini jobs.

I had a business failure last year and I lost months because I didn’t want to face the music. Idealism always had to be optimized to realism.

Remember: Rejection is redirection

You say your passion is raising your consciousness and that's what life has given you now. Sometimes you have to lose everything in order to gain everything. Sometimes you have to be truly lost in order to find your path.

The thing about suicidal thoughts is that they're actually a good thing. It means a new life is awaiting for you but you most likely cling to old belief patterns, old programming, the old self. The more you hold on the old life, old thought patterns, the more suffering it will create because the old is not working anymore (you've RAISED your consciousness). Yes, letting go of the old will feel like dying to the brain because you're creating a new identity and the brain doesn't know that (the unknown).

Life can be challenging indeed! Hold on, stay positive. When all is said and done and you look back at this transformational period you thank God for this opportunity!🌞✨

Did you try becoming a bike curier yet? The hiring process at least in my country is virtually automatic and you don't even need a proper interview.

Ken Wilber worked waiting tables for many years while meditating and studying on his own and writing his books. You can often treat such jobs (including bike curier) as meditation practices. And they should be physically healthy for you because you move a lot and most likely in healthy environments.

Also try applying for jobs for companies like McDonalds and Burger King.

Your life seems hard. I am glad you are not taking drugs. I would recommend that your meditation practice be focused towards how you are making meaning out of your situation. You believe certain jobs are traps but that is a label you are assigning to it. In some situations taking those jobs could be a necessary stepping stone to getting a stable living situation and save a small amount of money for more training in a job you would prefer to do. If you use those jobs to move in the right direction and benefit your life long term, it is not a trap at all.

Your general business idea maybe could be fine for a small portion of your income to do for fun but don't try to make it your full time job.

I experienced a homeless person trying to sell me his art once before. an A4 copy machine print with some kind of drawing on it. It looked really cheap and pitiful, not going to lie. Like he was obviously just desperate so I offered my lunch as charity which made him really happy. He insisted I take the drawing, which I think I still have somewhere.

The beauty of truck driving is you have lots of time to drive and contemplate while getting paid quite well.

I once worked as a security guard at a big corporate building in London. Long shifts, but you work for 4 days, and then you have 4 days off. The pay was okay. Best thing about the job is having so much time at work to do contemplation and meditation.
