Can I still be world class if I start late?

31 posts in this topic

I've slowly realized over a course of years that writing isn't my true passion; I've tricked myself into believing it. Now I realize charisma is what my true passion is.

But I'm 17 now. With horrible social skills (not talent, I have done insane things because of my talent.) I've heard that mastery takes 5 years, but greatness takes 10-20 years. I'm worried that with my advanced age I won't be able to achieve world class status because of the energy fall off you experience when you enter your thirties.

Could I still do it?

@Magnanimous Yeah man, age 17 is probably the perfect age to start working this. Consult chatgpt to create a training regimine for yourself. Ask for things you can do, resources, etc..

Probably the best thing is to get loads of social practice. So, that is something exciting to look forward to.

@Thought ArtHow come you think it's perfect? If I were to raise a kid who had legendary charismatic talent I would've had him practicing charisma when he can first hold a conversation

17 is absolutely the perfect age!

Plus, there’s no reason to feel bummed about it—today is the oldest you've ever been, and the youngest you'll ever be again!

Depends on what you meant by world class. It's your own definition and perception of the word.

If you want to be number one most charismatic person in the world, that's going to be near impossible.

If you want to be top 5% in the world, that might still be possible.

You don’t have anything else to focus on but loving yourself and staying connected to oneness and then striving and doing your best and learning from your mistakes. Don’t go into all this future thinking and whatnot. Just go and focus on the moment, focus on deconstruction of these limiting beliefs, and you will create a beautiful life for yourself.

@hyrugaout of curiousity how long do you think it would take to be no.1?

I don't think I'll go for it but because of my interest in charisma I'd want to know

@Magnanimous This is a very good piece of advice. Your core focus in life should be Self-Love. 99% people chase things they believe will give them that love which only they can give themselves.

I'm not trying to judge you. Maybe becoming most charismatic is your true passion and life purpose but most probably it's not bcoz it lacks meaning.

@SandhuI don't even think it's my life purpose, I just know it's my Zone of Genius and it's something I wanna master

It depends on your own definition but in mine, there is no number 1.

For example, Lionel Messi is highly regarded to be the number 1 footballer in the modern era.

But if there is a situation where the ball comes to him at a height and coming very fast, then someone like C.Ronaldo can run faster or head better than Messi so in that situation, C.Ronaldo is actually no 1.

@Magnanimous How is it possible that Charisma is your true passion yet you have horrible social skills?

Isn't your mind tricking you again in the same way it did with writing?

A little map in case it helps you

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

I've heard that mastery takes 5 years, but greatness takes 10-20 years.

This is false. Mastery doesn’t have an end point. You will never achieve greatness. Yeah people that aren’t as far on the path will call you great but you yourself will never achieve greatness. There’s always more to learn. Forever. Fall in love with the process.

You aren’t late at all.

@Magnanimous Greatness doesn't take 10-20 years you can master something in 2 years if you do it 16 hours a day. You can be 20 and be a master at something if you start.

But you cant guarantee world class in anything . If you are you are if you aren't you aren't.

I would suggest doing something that's in your genetics. If your family did it its already written into your dna. If your father was a writer every mistake hes ever made writing and every accomplishment is built into your intelligence.

With Charisma if you did it and really tried, I’d say 3-12 months you’d get to a level where you enjoy it and it just grows from there. The secret is probably having fun with others and feeling good. Some mixer of social intelligence and boundaries.
