Many of those issues are generic problems of religion and Stage Blue.

But it also important to call out specific religions by name, as they get particularly toxic and over-respected.

@Leo Gura I did my own research on religious history and noticed many of the same problems mentioned in the video you shared.

One explanation is that in ancient times they had very different standards of evidence. Rumors and reputations were taken far more seriously because many people didn't realize that millions of people could believe the same thing and all still be wrong. Modern reason makes this distinction.

In the case of Christianity, it looks like the spreading rumor combined with unfalsifiability landed in the gaps of human reason for the time. To this day I think MAGA still has roughly this degree of reasoning given the logic they used to justify the attempted coup. It included "if so many people believe the election was stolen, then it must be true."

In terms of who started the rumor, I think it is fair for you to suggest that some of Jesus's followers were probably liars. If the lie stirred among the followers then eventually you end up with claims like "500 people witnessed Jesus rise from the dead." The rumor was considered strong evidence back in those days, and it persisted into the medieval ages which I also researched.

@Leo Gura, Christians view meditation and yoga as demonic too.

Even when some of them don't demonize it that much, they will use the tools as long as the tools don't make them stray away from their dogma.

For them, dogma is above awakening and direct experience, because they treat their dogma as absolute.

They are so afraid that they will be lured by the devil if they don't follow their dogma, not knowing that they already failed by being close-minded and dogmatic.

Good point yeah. I like a lot of their perspectives but that one felt self-contradictory compared to other stuff. I've noticed a lot of "it's both at the same time/they're one and the same" style arguments during spiritual discourse online regarding the existence of "other", which struck me as inconclusive.

I like to think Bashar IS an entity being channelled, but that doesn't necessarily mean the entity is fully awake to every aspect of the truth. If you even put yourself in Bashars shoes (weird way to phrase it they probably don't have shoes 👽) their could be an attachment to Anka being his intimate conduit that the notion of "other" is something Bashar itself hasn't transcended. Major conjecture/speculation I know, but something to think about.

"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."

You do not know if Jesus said or did any of those things.

You are assuming the Bible is accurate, which is not a safe assumption.

The quotes are good nevertheless. The point is that Christians can't even apply their own book.
