Leo if you could put your psychedelic sensitivity as a percentile what would it be?

And then typical religious people are proudly against psychedelics. Twisted.

Even meditation and yoga are a sin if they don't validate Christian beliefs. The retardedness is profound.

Hi Leo, isn't weed highly addictive, and overall dangerous thing to be engaging in comparison to psychedelics? I haven't touched the stuff because in your own previous blog posts you have recommended not to fuck with it.

I'm sure we all went to Uni with a couple of individuals who seemed like they had fried their brains with the stuff.

Do you recommend to try it? I'm hesitant.

@Leo Gura Were you this sensitive to weed prior to your 5meo trips? Don't you think 5meo rewired you in a way that you respond to weed similar to it?

I can't be sure because I never tried weed before.

But my best understanding is that I was always that sensitive.

5-MeO-DMT is not a magic pill that changes your whole brain. It boosts what is there.

Off the charts. Genetic freak level. 1 in a million.

Chronic use definitely don't.

It depends on what effect it has on you. If you're able to trip on it, then it's good to use. But don't use it as daily habit. Use it for serious trips.

For me weed is not addictive at all because it is such a potent trip. I would never use it for fun or pleasure. It is far too serious for that.

It is definitely worth trying just to see what effect it has on your consciousness.

But if it's addictive for you, don't use it. Find non-addictive psychedelics.

I actually think that genetically most people can get deep mystical experiences from weed alone.

The problem is that the modern environment (toxins in food and air, lack of exercise, electromagnetic fields, artificial light, lack of sun exposure, etc.) affects negatively the endocannabinoid system (ECS), making us less able to get the most out of weed. There is actual science to this. A lot of modern disease has a disfunctional ECS at its root.

I also experienced this firsthand. When I’m healthy, I get super deep experiences with only weed (complete no-self, dissolving in infinite love). But when something is just a bit off with my health, the weed experiences become negative.

Also, supplementing PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) has given me incredible results health-wise, and consequently the ability to use weed in this way. You can look up the benefits on the ECS.

@cistanche_enjoyer My health is not good but it doesn't affect the potency of my trips.

@Leo Gura you are taking low-dose naltrexone for your health issues, if I remember correctly, right?

Well, turns out it also has a significant effect on the endocannabinoid system. From AI:

Naltrexone's impact on the eCB system is thought to be mediated by the close relationship between opioid and cannabinoid receptors in the reward centers of the brain (ventral striatum). The two systems often interact on the same neurons or on synaptically-linked neurons.

Receptor Competition: Opioids and cannabinoids may colocalize on the same neurons and compete for G-protein signaling pathways; thus, blocking the opioid receptor can, in certain contexts, increase cannabinoid-mediated activity.

Indirect Signaling: Naltrexone may influence the eCB system through its effects on opioid signaling and its downstream impact on GABA and dopamine release, which are also regulated by cannabinoids.

@cistanche_enjoyer

1) I was highly sensitive to weed before naltrexone.

2) I take low dose naltrexone, so it's probably not significant.

3) I have not noticed a difference in the trips before or after naltrexone.
