I don't really agree with the posts on Christianity. Christianity is about relationship. Besides that the Christians see God has being within us and outside of us. God is transcendent and immanent. There is a true self and the false self. The true self is God and the false self is the ego. Who we really are is the true self.

@Dayo You are overlooking the issue of Jesus worship. Christianity is fundamentally about worshiping a man.

Consider how that is problematic.

Mystical Christians see Jesus as a symbolic guide.  In contemplative prayer they realise that  everything is God anyway.I see Jesus as a pointer not a man to worship. Even in the bible when people were calling him good he rejected it and said only God is good.  I agree that most Christians are fucked because they take Jesus as a God-man and believe in a Triune God. Meister Eckhart saw beyond the Triune God in is tradition and was able to see God as the ground of being itself . That is the fault of religion. I know Christianity won't lead to God realisation but it is a great platform for non-duality and I enjoy the relational aspects of it.

@Dayo The problem with telling someone something is a problem, is that they can always just say, "But it's not a problem for me!"

Maybe. But it's a problem for billions of not-yous.

"This is not about your personal Awakening, this is about mankind’s Awakening, so to speak."

@Leo Gura Ngl, that stings :$

Because you have always been direct, and you even say it directly 'I'm trying to get you to realize...'. You know what I mean, I'm not being able to express myself well now.

Stings? Why?

Obviously if it advances mankind's Awakening it also advances your Awakening. These are not mutually exclusive.

Plus, what good is it for you to Awaken but then live amongst a bunch of cavemen? Obviously you want to live among others who understand you. So this goal is not just good for mankind at large, it is good for you.

Do you want to be Awakened and living among a bunch of materialist Nazis? So obviously we need a larger goal of advancing the entire culture.

I think you broke my mind after the solipsism video... I still doubt it and it creates confusion and fear of being delusional even though I've seen some things. Btw, way before even finding you I knew it deep down.

@Vibes Life is like a video game. It doesn't need to be real to enjoy it.

It's okay to get lost in the dream a bit because there's nothing outside of dreaming.

Relax and enjoy the dream.

Can't you clean your ears with the best tool that you already have, the pinky finger?

Maybe different levels of oleosity in the wax or something, but I never needed to go to the doctor to clean my ears in 20+ years. Only went a few times out of conformity when I was a kid haha

As I said, when you actually look inside with the camera, you're in for a rude awakening.

You don't even know what your ears look like inside. They are weird.

I know Christianity won't lead to God realisation but it is a great platform for non-duality and I enjoy the relational aspects of it.

Such Christians are few and far between. Most have not even read the Bible, or do it in an extremely sloppy way. In Luke 18:19 you refer to he doesn't necessarily reject that he is good, he asks why the guy thinks he is good. It can be read as denial, but also as a rhetorical question pointing to how he is indeed God. Conversely, there is John 14:6 — Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. Read literally, this invites worship; but metaphorically, if Jesus is Love, Father is Truth, and the Holy Spirit is Will, what he says is exactly right, that's what the Trinity is. Seeing it that way requires a God-realization though.
There's a number of different interpretations for any given passage in all scripture, which is precisely the issue. Interpretation by default is corrupt and no method is taught for how to correct that, the few that are lead to further corruption. Necessarily so, since the absolutes are noninterpretable.
Not knowing what it is you have a relationship with will not end well. It would be more accurate to say that the God most people have a relationship with is actually the Devil.
The best Bible verses are nowhere to be found in the lists of most quoted/popular ones, instead they're filled with nonsense about God protecting, guiding, and forgiving you, which is what people truly care about; it is used to excuse their sinfulness cloaked in false humility.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will". Isn't this the essence of Actualized.org in a few words? And yet all Christian explanations of it miss the mark entirely. So the general problem exists and is worth pointing out, but if Christianity or another tradition helps deepen your spiritual connection that's great, it's as it should be.

One time the wax on my ear got so bad that the hearing of sounds was displaced, my ear could not interpret the position of things correctly. It was a really weird illusion, until I washed them.

@LambdaDelta

I have the philokalia books, those were written by early Christian mystics. I heard about it through Alan Watts. During my highest psychedelic peaks, I've experienced and explored themes of prayer, surrender and high spiritual teachings that come through religion and I'm able to discern and reinterpret spirituality through religion. There is a lot of cultural programming and indoctrination of minds on religion but there is also gold stripped of mindless beliefs and ego.

What are your thoughts on this especially tying in with your psychedelic tripping? What are your thoughts on the essence of religion and what people get wrong about it and what religion gets right? Also what are your experiences directly with religion?
