The kingdom of heaven is within you."
(Luke 17:21)

"You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also."
(Matthew 5:38)

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?"
(Matthew 5:43)

"Don't worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
(Matthew 6:34)

"Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven."
(Luke 6:37)

"Do not judge, or you will be judged. For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
(Matthew 7:1)

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. "But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see my face and live."
—Exodus 33:20 (NIV)

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

If Luke was a Masochist… 😂

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

Hehe unfortunately we have no solid evidence that Jesus really said these things because Luke and other folks have compiled and  wrote these after Jesus' death . There is no solid evidence that Jesus even existed . But I find these sayings very enlightening.

Jesus himself was a Masochist

John 10:30

Jesus said, “I and my Father are One.”

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Jesus answered them, "Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?"

The Jews answered him, saying, "For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God."

Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, "I said, Ye are gods?" If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him."

The sermon on the mount from King James bible .

This is found in book of Matthew( it's written in Shakespearian English not plain English lol:

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the mercifuls: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill…
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment…
Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Again, ye have heard that it hath been said… Thou shalt not forswear thyself…
But I say unto you, Swear not at all…
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye…
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil…
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you…
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them…
When thou doest thine alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are…
After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance…
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth…
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven…
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
No man can serve two masters… Ye cannot serve God and Devil.
Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink…
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not… yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow…
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged…
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction…
Beware of false prophets… Ye shall know them by their fruits.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven…
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew… and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand .

Matthew 18:3 Unless ye become as little children, ye shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.

My translation: little children are egoless and without preconception. Always seeing the world anew.

When the secret is revealed to you, you will know that you are not other than God, but that you yourself are the object of your quest.

@Someone here Yes, more self-identity, less selflessness. Was that what was referred to as the "Tree of knowledge" that was spoken about in the story of Adam and Eve? For the first time they felt naked- (self-conscious?)

Yes that's true .bear in mind it's a metaphorical story. It says the Devil (or Serpent ) told them if you eat the fruit you shall become eternal and deathless like God himself. He lied to them since the tree of life is the ticket to immortality. The tree of knowledge will make them see good and evil ..which means judgment and imperfection ..which is a metaphore for losing your innocence as a child and you start judging things .luckily we are hippy folks so ..lol

@Someone here There's a good video on YT I watched years ago. I think it was called "Consciousness: The final frontier" Something like that. It was along the lines of what you're saying. Adam= Adamic man.

From the Gospel of Thomas (not included in the Bible)

Jesus said,

"If they say to you:
‘Where do you come from?’
say to them: ‘We come from the Light.
The place where the Light is manifest from itself,
has established itself and manifests through their image.

If they ask: ‘Is it you?’
answer: ‘We are children of the Light,
the chosen of the living Father.’ "
