It's interesting that ISIS is claiming this as their doing. Why, and what evidence do we have so far it's actually ISIS and not some alt right Ukraine soldiers pretending to be ISIS?

Or maybe a geopolitical move from Iran, to try and drag Russia into middle eastern conflict, with Israel/Palestine?

Providing dots doesn't mean connecting them in a way that suits a narrative. I haven't commented, just provided some links to provide food for thought. Whats your take on the situation so far? Who benefits from this and what purpose could it serve?

This is arguably how conspiracy theories start as well. Most cases the theorists provide the dots and connect them with their narrative, but some provide the dots, offer little connections, draw the viewers in to make their story for them. Hypothetically speaking, if we have 2 cases, 1 suspect is told to provide their alibi, the other provides alibi but it's weak and the lawyer/interviewer steps in and interjects, offering their own versions of the story the suspect can then accept that and run with it.

Doesn’t Russia have a huge problem with Chechen separatists/rebels?

So if it's Chechen separatists/rebels, then it's them and not ISIS?

Isis and historically al-queda, have always had strong connections and affiliations with the Chechen terrorist groups, for a long time.

Surprised this hasn’t happened sooner at higher volumes

I thought ISIS only hated the west though.

This plays right into Putin's hands. Now he will go even more authoritarian.

They will cause problems wherever they go. Even against their allies if you piss them off enough.

Infact they hold former allies with greater contempt than straight up enemies. Russia has plenty of ties with the terror groups in the middleast so this is not completely unexpected.

Russia is displacing France and the US in Africa, and effectively fighting jihadism in the Sahel. African dictators see Russia as a more reliable and expeditious partner. This makes Russia the current enemy of jihadism, and it also makes the French very angry and that Macron became huge ridiculous with Rocky Balboa style photos.
