  1. @Butters went through quiet a similair thing. In that mode it was baffeling why people stressed so much and didn't just go for a walk in the park. I was just really enjoying being present for the first time in my life. What hapenned to me is that I partly integrated it in my normal life and it partly went away. So definitely more present and happy from moment to moment now than I was but not at the level I was at before. Also discipline etc has definitely become important again ;). Hope this is helpfull for you.

    Regards,

    Paul

  2. @Sockrattes I thnk it's super usefull actually. Because it introduces the notion of growth in more dimensions. If you are in Orange you might have thought of growth as:

    - getting hotter girls

    - getting more money

    - becomming fitter etc.

But when you learn about spiral dynamics you see that your real growth could come from going to green and focussing on:

    - opening your heart

    - caring about the wellbeing of your surroundings

    - protecting the enviroment

So knowing the model is very very usefull for getting you out of barking up the wrong tree. If you don't misread where you are at on the spiral that is ofcourse. And yeah, it's just a model. So it shouldn't become the absolute gospel.

I read something about "why I stopped pursuing enlightenment" here in an old post.. and I can say I am into it now.

I quit trying to feel enlighten everyday as it was conflicting with my EGO life... I mean..  I did not forget that I am all and all is me.. I remember it all..

I just had a deep conversation with my EGO and I proposed to it "lets have an EGO life then, help me when I die"

I am keen to improve my ego life, e.g. great carrer, family, love, life.. all sort of things that simply dont exist once you are enlighten... in exchange, the ego will help me to kill itself once there is no body to be inside...

you made a pact with the devil!

No surprise here. After all, you are the devil.

  4. @aurum Maybe this metafor is usefull for pick up:

Imagine a really fat dude. For him the best thing he could possibly do is go to the gym and clean up his diet. So he does this and the first couple of years this is enormously helpfull and he grows a lot. Both from the outside and from the inside he becomes a fitter and better person. Now after some years our friend is pretty buffed and he has built his new self-worth around being able to be muscular. He puts his body through thougher and thougher work outs. It's no longer about getting fit and healthy and growing internally. It's now about ego and what other people think of him.

This dude should definitely dial back going to the gym. This is the best thing for him to do for his growth.

So I'm sure you already got it but replace 'gym' with 'club' and fat with 'not getting laid' etc.

Pick up can be a great source of growth at the beginning, but can really stunt your growth after some time.

Tyler should probably stop doing pick up asap. I mean this dude is a 37 year old millionair worried about his instagram stories and sleeping with strippers. That doesn't sound highly conscious to me. I feel like he was more spiritually minded a couple of years ago than he is now. Don't get me wrong, I still think he is pretty awesome. Just that if he let go of trying to get laid all the time he could be way more awesome.

Let me know what you think.

There's a delicious irony here, which is, psychedelic molecules are profoundly material.

Arrange a bunch of atoms in a very specific and material pattern, and you then possess a key that fits into and operates a molecule scale lock. Then a small change occurs in the available amounts of a neurotransmitter - and then it's unto thee the kingdom the power and the glory forever and ever aumn.

LSD and psilocybin have a kind of inherent differentiation of effect. LSD works first on matters involving symbolic operations - that's language, words, speech, math, time, money, measuring, and logic - and vibration and frequency explorations, which includes things like the nature of reality and matter, certain types of "higher" emotions and ideas, etc.

While psilocybin brings a high percentage of ingestors to topics involving biology, genetics, drives and motivations, sex and certain types of creativity, body intelligence, love and relationships and human dynamics, etc. And it seems to contain some built in tools for talking to entities and aliens, for dimension bending, and so on.

Do you have a plan for how to rewire your meta-beliefs?

atoms and molecules are happening within consciousness dude ;). There is no stuff that is material. You are talking from the paradigm that he's trying to see through.

  6. @Shakazulu yeah no crazy high dosisses for me yet. 250 ug Lsd is the highest I went and mushrooms I don't know. I used truffels (legal here in amsterdam). they have a lower density of psylocibine in them. I ate about 20 grams of truffels, which of they were mushrooms would have probably exploded the universe ;). Btw an absolutely amazing book te shed the materialist belief is: Why materialism is Baloney, by Bernardo Kastrup. That books put the nail in the coffin for me concerning the materialist paradigm. That and some psychedelic experiences should be more than enough. And this is coming from  a guy who studied physics ;). Good luck man!

  7.  @Etagnwo I think this is largely true. Although there are definitely people who were pretty much totally broke, went to an ashram and got enlightened over time. I do think that if you are that far in your personal development that you are ready for enligthenment, you should also be able to make money. But for some it's just not necessary. They are content with being poor and they find a way to survive while spending most of their time doing their practise.

  8. @Brittany, Conscious suffering I would say. Everyone has trauma's and suffers. The more unconscious someone is the more he/she was traumatized. You don't close done from love for fun. There are just some people who have enough conscousness to be aware of their immens suffering and who believe that change is possible. These are the self-actualizers ofcourse. But everyone is hurt, traumatized and scared. Might just not be on the surface very much for some of the people that look more oblivious.

  9. I thought this might be fun and interesting.

And a good way to find a good holiday destination that fits your current place on the spiral ;).

My city is Amsterdam, Netherlands. I would say it's ORANGE/green. We have some blue from non-european immigrants but they are going to orange in rapid pace.

Some psychedelics are legal here (oooooohhh yeaahhhhhhhhhhhh :)), weed is legal and our new mayor is from a politcal party that is called Groen Links (Green Left). But we also have a lot of totally orange businesses and a giant tourist industry that is totally crazy orange.

Most people are conscious about the enviroment and global warming but don't act on it. Most people think that experiences are more important than possessions, but according to them living in a nice big house is also an experience. But the different stages of the spiral live together quiet peacefully here I have to say. Not a lot of mud throwing. In Amsterdam everyone has been doing there on thing since forever. I guess this is for better and for worse.

Would be curious to read about other cities!

It's been a while since I've seen it, but from what I remember that video is really misguided.

The problem with making a black and white critique of the PUA community is that there is no definitive way to do pickup. Every guy gets in it for their own reasons and leaves with different results.

I've seen tons of guys come through PUA at this point. It's true that the majority are not really using it as a tool to grow. They just learn a bit theory, go out, and get wasted at the local dive bar.

I was the same way. I was a 21 year old college student who just wanted to get laid when I found the community. I didn't give a shit about "self-actualization" or "spiritual growth".

So does that mean there's a problem with PUA? Or is the tool being misused by people who don't really have an intention to grow in the first place?

Anyone who argues that you can't grow spiritual doing pickup is wrong. But you have use it the right way.

The other argument I remember from that video is that pickup = manipulation. This is such a limiting belief for guys who are trying to learn this stuff.

Any guy who thinks they can manipulate women against their will into sleeping with them using pickup, come visit me in Miami and we'll go out together. It never works that way.

How do I know? Because I know all the lines, all the strategies, all the tactics. They're useful, but not nearly as important as most guys think.

When I'm doing game, I'm constantly asking myself WHAT DOES SHE WANT. Because if what she wants and what I want don't align, you're fucked. It's not going to work.

Oh, and sometimes what the girl wants is something we would judge as "low consciousness", like alcohol or status. Guess what, it's not your job to be Captain Save A Ho and save the poor little princess. She's human being that's allowed to live her life the way she wants, even if we might judge it as a "mistake".

I could keep ranting but I think you get the point. There's so many misconceptions about PUA it's crazy. And it holds guys back tremendously.

Yeah really good response! Pick up can definitely be used as a tool of massive growth. Just got to try to not become a creap and keep your ego in check. But when you do these things it's a beautifull thing.
