I see, my bad. Yeah you can tell it to change aspects of the generated image (you could tell it to add a car to the background), but it can't actually see the generated images, so you can't ask it to translate specific details. It only really changes the prompt when you tell it to change the image. Not sure if that's the same for the DALL-E version, but it's sort of limited in that capacity. It's also kind of scuffed when it comes to understanding inputs. It takes things quiet literally. If you want it to create another image you have to tell it to "try again". If you tell it to add a car to the background, there is a 50% chance that the AI will simply tell you that it "can't change the generated images". So you have to use very specific language to make it understand that you're not trying to change the generated image, but are trying to get it to generate a new one. It's kind of annoying at first, but as you get the hang of it, it gets significantly easier to get it to do what you want. It's still kind of scuffed in the sense that it will sometimes tell you that it can't generate a prompt because it is against the AI's policies (if you use words like Disney), but then it will just continue to generate the requested image anyways lol.

It does. It would be pretty shitty without the image generation to be honest. At least you can have philosophical conversations with DALL-E, but if you even dare to type the word "sentience" into Bing chat it will simply say "It might be time to move onto a new topic. Let's start over." and it will delete the conversation. Like try it. Just type the word sentience and the AI will go "fuck you". I just tried if it's still blocked and the AI told me "I told you that I don't want to have this conversation, please respect my boundaries" lmao

Humans are terrible at setting appropriate boundaries, let alone communicating them.
