Have things not really gotten better since the 80s or 90s?

We will have a new accu revolution in next 10 years.

How are you gonna charge your batteries if there is not enough energy?

Also, good luck melting steel with electricity and batteries.

Yes, I have tried GPT4, it can’t do most of the tasks I would give it, I can never trust its answers, and also if it can do something I want it to do, it’s very inconsistent at the way of doing it.

1) But all those factors are highly relevant.

2) HIV transmits more through anal sex regardless.

Sometimes stereotypes exist for good reason. If your gay friends are offended by the facts that's their problem.

Indeed it is relevant but so are the people on the right saying gender is biological.  There are also women that enjoy having sex as much if not more than men, all you have to do is watch porn. I'm sure if we look up HIV prevalence in porn actresses during the 80s it probably would have as high as gay men in the 80s.  I guess I'm making a point how society hasn't evolved very much from the 80s until now because even educated people aren't tactful enough in their speech.  If Fauci was more socially educated and aware being in charge of healthcare, he could have said promiscuous sex and unprotected sex dramatically increases the odds of transmission of AIDS, particularly anal sex where a bleed in the rectum can increase the odds of transmission.  Women also have anal sex but most do not of course, so mentioning sexual orientation can lead to misunderstanding.
I was misinformed of the whole nuance for a good part of my early life because of lack of insight from a medical professional.

It depends on what you value. Technology, medical care and LGBT acceptance have gotten much better since the 90s. On the other hand, student loans have gone up, climate change has gotten worse and happiness rates have gone down. Not to mention obesity rates. So it depends on who you ask and what they value.

@Girzo can you give an example which task?

"How are you gonna charge your batteries if there is not enough energy?" not enough energy? How about thinking that you need less energy for everything in 10 years through technological improvements so there will be still enough energy for these humanoid robots.

These humanoid robots dont need light, they can work in the cold, they dont need food, they dont need to take a shit so no toilets needed.they dont need social Events, no clothes. So a humanoid robot needs less energy than a human being for work if you count everything together

@OBEler Any serious task. I have used it thoroughly, ChatGPT4 is shit. Maybe GPT4 (non-chat edition) with bigger memory would be usable but they don't allow you to buy access to it.

First, technical improvements never have surpassed human efficiency. Biology still wins. Second, where the fuck are you going to source your energy in the future? Humanity is on a crash course right now, unless we miraculously find some quality energy sources in the next few decades. Are you even aware about current situation with climate change and oil drilling? Humanoid robots is not a priority technology. AC so people not die from over-heating, for example, is.

Something tells me you have little to zero experience with engineering.

I think the life got better since the 80s because of positive change in cultural values, but have low hopes for the future, because our material situations gets more dire with every year. If it will turn out that people are still happier and happier in the future, I am 100% sure it won't be because of some freaking humanoid robots or weird AI, but because of there being more of what makes humans human, community, solidarity and sharing love.

Porn has gotten way better since the 80s.

That's like 50% quality of life improvement right there!

Yeah, modern porn is so good indeed

Though I sometimes like to watch retro stuff, like movies from 60s, 70s, etc, they feel so raw and authentic in many ways, I enjoy it

You guys do you. I prefer sex with a girlfriend, which as an experience probably hasn't changed much since the 80s.

That's true. lol.

Although, I think that dating has gotten worse for most men and women since the 80s or 90s.

Actually, it is easier, you are not restricted to +/-50km radius. And you are less forced into relationship by your next of kin. Obviously, it depends on society.

It really is man, I can definitely relate to that. There really is a lot of joy and magic that comes from that. All the different scenes and pictures that they make nowadays are really great to look at. It definitely is a really magical part of life.

technical improvements never have surpassed human efficiency? Thats a bold statement. Look at robot Arms in a car factory. Way more efficient than humans.

Climate change is real but its not everything. Government will build an efficient energy infrastucture and the energy resources for 1 billion humanoid robots will be there in 10-20 years. It's not impossible at all. Also consider all the new possibilitys to save energy which are still in the pipeline.

Can you imagine how much porn there will be in 500 years? Mankind has only gotten started.

Can you imagine alien porn?

And how about some of those alien psychedelics? Must be some crazy stuff for humans to discover

You don’t understand. It uses way more calories than humans to do the same work. It is only profitable, because for now we still have abundant cheap oil, so like tens of thousands of virtual human slaves operate this robot. That’s not efficiency in energy sense, that’s only efficiency in the market sense.

The only inventions that can beat efficiency of biological organisms are the devices that amplify abilities of biological agents, like a bicycle or some machine with levers.

Solar panels are worse at converting light to energy than tree leaves. And you don’t need as much energy to grow a tree as to build a panel (which also enetually dies and needs rebuilding, just like a tree). Maybe now you get the idea of how biology wins.

@Girzo I dont think it makes any sense to just look at the actual energy consumption of humanoid robots vs human. Thats a very narrow view you have.

For example: A human needs to be trained for the task, a robot just needs one Update. So a robot needs for Training almost zero energy.

Furthermore you exclude the Environment. A human needs light, needs warm Temperaturen, needs a functional Toilette which all need energy to run.

@OBEler You need to create an update by using a lot of resources, robots also need hardware updates and their parts wear. You need a big industry to service them. While humans' minimum requirements are eating berries and shitting in the forest.

Furthermore, creating comfortable environment for humans is our goal anyways. Why are you even mentioning it, what are your values that you need to count livable conditions as additional cost? It's the rock foundation, my whole point is people won't invest in stupid robots without being warm and that's why your techno vision of the future probably won't happen, because we are nearing an end of cheap, abundant fossils. Nothing we have can substitute for oil well right now. Lots of research needed just to sustain what we have.

@Girzo @Girzo you are not really thinking this through:

You create one Update, yes that needs a Team of lets say 20 Software developer. Then you can deploy this upgrate without energy on 1 billion humanoid robots.

And as I say it doesnt make good sense to compare humanoid robots with humans on just calorie consumption. Thats very narrow point of view
