Extradition to UK just to let him go to Romania sounds insane.

Extradition is a pretty serious legal process. You don't do that just to let them go.

Yeah, I do agree if he goes to the UK that the chances go up that he is seriously fucked. I am no legal expert and I've only done some research with Claude. I'm just saying there is a possibility that the machinery could get clogged with all the moving parts. Also going to trial vs actually getting convictions. I know this case (with what we know at least) depends a good amount on testimony so if those fade it could be hard to convict him.
