They may have been canceled but have the old ones been replaced?

Thanks to the BIF bill having been passed by Congress (mostly Democrats and some Republicans in both the House and Senate) and Biden.

Though unfortunately, this new law will allow public infrastructure to be privatized. That's why some progressives like those on TYT and AOC had called the bill a corporate handout.

Are copper pipes a concern? I've recently learned  that i have them at home and at the restaurant that i work at ( that uses tap water to cook - good god )

Sad that basic maintenance of the country's infrastructure is considered an 'achievement' in some sense, but considering the dysfunctional nature of our declining democracy here in the 'States I guess we have to take what small wins we can.

No, they're scheduled to be replaced with smart, nano tech, metal alloy mercury pipe lines. 100% true.

they've been forbidden over 110 yrs ago

i'd imagine that since then all lead pipes have been replaced over the years

but it's possible that some old houses still have them or had them until a few decades ago
