Trump is smarter than you think

57 posts in this topic

I see Leo ranting on Trump in almost every video released, including the last one. I'm spanish* and I consider myself socialist in terms of politics, so I understand (and share) why Leo is so triggered, but I don't think Trump is an "stage red idiot" like he states over and over.

In my opinion, Trump is a really smart guy capable of succeeding in almost anything he sets for. He maintained and expanded the empire inherited by his father, casted in a popular TV show, he has written books with R. Kiyosaki (whose book is recommended in Leo's list) and won the 2016 election as a strategic motherf*cker he is. Trump literally destroyed every opponent in the primary elections one by one, including the Bush's brother and whoever else. He knew what type of speech would mobilize the republican voters and he knew how, where and when to attack Clinton. Make no mistake, playing dumb is a popular tool among politicians, because it makes them popular and relatable. I've seen the same in Spain too. Trump, in his essence, qualities, and shadows, is the last big hero from stage orange, a stage I hope is starting to fade from our planet soon.

And Biden is no better, just a fake democrat copy of him. I'm sorry, but I predict Trump will win again by a landslide. Wait and see.

Trump is a big phony show, he is the biggest showman that people fall for.

He knows the art of the deal, punnn.

His success is useless, it has caused thousands of people to die by proxy.

He will only cause more damage if he gets more power.

He is an example of toxic Orange, not conscious orange.

And on top of everything, he is a big PHONY.

He is making the whole nation pay his debt for him.

And finally,

If he was so smart, why did he get Covid?

Even a regular street person knows that wearing a mask is important

I am baffled that people fall for Trump's charm even ater all this time and all these incidents..

Well, I think you have to differentiate the ways, in which you become successful. I'm not a Trump expert, so this is more of a general opinion.

First of all, stage orange is neither inherently good or bad. It depends on how you embody stage orange. The embodiment itself can either be, relatively speaking, for the positive or the negative.

Considering the ways in which you become successful and wealthy in terms of money: It's much harder to establish a business, which both benefits you and the world. A business, which does not live from exploiting natural or human resources.

Just take a look at a few of the biggest companies, for example McDonalds. They make their profit from feeding people shitty food & making animals live in disgusting, cruel ways, in order to reach one goal: making as much money as possible, while trying to minimize costs. But in the example of McDonalds it seems, that they slowly add green values to their company, investing into future solutions.

It's way easier to reach financial success by exploting resources. This has so many forms. Moving money around at the stock market can be another form of toxic success.

I'd be careful when evaluating the success of other people, because it's not the success which is hard to reach, but rather the WAY in which you reach success, whatever success means to you.

He has repeatedly failed at businesses and has declared bankruptcy many times. He hides his financial statements for a reason. He likely has some serious debts.

He lost the popular election by millions of votes. He won an archaic "electoral college" system in which the loser of the popular vote can actually win. Yes, there was some strategy involved, yet the strategy is so simple a high school student can understand it.

Mostly stage red/blue

Trump has some Orange in market based economies - yet most of it is toxic and focused on exploitation of others. His MAGA base is red/blue centered, yet also has significant Orange level capitalism and libertarianism. Yet I think most of this is brainwashing by FoxNews, Briebert etc scaring them with polarized dualities that capitalism is good and all Democrats are scary communists.

Biden has both similarities and differences with Trump. They have some overlap with orange-level market based economies which is problematic - yet Biden doesn't have any toxic Red or Blue like Trump.

You English is great. Much better than my Spanish. Thank you for putting in the effort to write it out well. I've heard English is harder to write than Spanish. Especially spelling.

Don't confuse con artistry, manipulation, and exploitation with smarts.

The dude hasn't read a book in his life. He's as ignorant as can be. But he is very good at exploiting people.

Stage Red has a high exploitative intelligence.

Just because you successfully rob a bank does not make you smart.

When do you think he'll start doing this as president? There are plenty of issues for him to take a pick, and pour his smarts into

Don't mistake or conflate IQ for Emotional Intelligence, Awareness, and Consciousness.

Trump may very well have an IQ over 120, but is that much to be desired if he's radically insecure, exploitative, and corrosive to everything around him?

Nobody wants to be around a genius who is also a giant douche canoe.

The dude thought it was feasible to stop a hurricane with a nuke and to dig a trench at the Mexico border wall and fill it with alligators.

@Leo Gura if he wanted to stop the Hurricanes he’d sign the New Green Deal and weatherize the houses to survival Hurricanes.

He could easily do this knowing that the wall would cost trillions.

He's certainly mastered the art of failing upward.   I've seen a fair amount of this in my life.   One thing these people all seem to have in common, is a complete lack of shame.

That sounds like trolling by him but I didn't see him say it so I have no idea.

Just making a point to OP that IQ isn't everything.

Trump’s key to success was being able to convince bankers to loan him money.  He had to master the art of appearing successful and talking like a winner (as would be perceived by a banker).  That is why he brags about being the king of debt.   He used the same persona to win the election, i.e. “I’m a rich billionaire who has everything and now wants to serve you the people with no ulterior motive”.  Trump’s talent was being able to project an illusion of success.  Of course, as recently revealed in past tax returns, Trump may actually be broke.

What I find interesting is that the Democrats project their hatred onto Trump but they never ask themselves where they fell down in order to be defeated by someone they have no respect for.  After all, they had the demographic advantage and should have easily won the election.  Trump was able to perceive a discontent that they totally missed and take advantage of it.  Their lack of ability to introspect is as noteworthy as Trump’s ability to deceive.  The more they blame it on Trump, the less likely they will learn from their mistakes and correct their behavior.

@Jodistrict  that's because of the electoral college

The electoral college is plagued and favors republicans more over democrats.

Trump hugely lost the popular vote.

A candidate can win the presidency despite failing the popular vote just because of the electoral college issue.

The system is sort of rigged against popular vote

Same is the reason why Hillary didn't win.

The election system in the US needs a major overhaul to weed out loopholes and flaws
