I have actually considered this lol like its just too much that it cant be real, or its for attention or something

The funniest part of Phil Hendrie is the people’s reactions that actually believe it’s real. I often thought “How could someone actually believe this is real?”. And now here I am on the other side. . .

Phil Hendrie could easily create a new character that thinks Trump is a brilliant genius and bait liberals into calling in. . . .

You really fell for the media propaganda telling you the other party is less moral. If there were somebody to vote for who would fix the schooling problem and stop the rich getting richer and not make wars. And didn't exxagerate the discrimination story. I'd vote for that.

Forget all the partisan politics stuff for a sec, what actually got you into you into spiritualityand actualized.org and separately for my curiosity, how old are you?

What’s funny is noticing how trump represents the honest effectiveness of this current system of government/society. People hate that when they still believe the system works for us and could magically solve all our problems one day. honestly trump is just doing a good job at exposing the system, all our ignorance, because even he has no power oVer it.

If you enjoy being triggered, laughing at yourself and testing the radicalness of your master construction, enjoy ;)

@Consept 38, I have completed a social sciences university study, was always interested in things like philosophy, sociology, psychology. Also want to develop myself and now doing taoist yoga/inner alchemy/healing tao. My avatar shows a energyball in the stomacharea. So have some years of developing higher energylevels. Very nice feeling and made me much more interested in spiritual stuff. Now starting non duality / psychedelics and more mindfulness/concentration.

Thats cool bro, a lot of interesting stuff there, i think youll get a lot from the non-dual and psychedelics. Are there any non-dual teachers you listen to at the moment?

What’s the yoga/alchemy/healing Tao scene like in the Netherlands? Is it popular? Are there a lot of yoga studios and retreats available?

I really like that part of the video because social media, riot streets, and celebrity culture is really headache inducing.

I wanted to hear the women perspective

For women’s perspective on nonduality, are you familiar with Lisa Cairns and Ananta Kranti? They are my two favorite female speakers.

Also def try psyches at least once can really open you up to the non-dual perspective, for me I've only done it once but since I did it no turning back

The website I linked is not a random website. It is the website for the Democratic Socialist political party in the U.S.

Whether you believe Democratic Socialism is “wrong” is up to you. I believe it is an upgrade from the current U.S. system.

For the M4A, I gave a link above of a meta review of 22 independent studies of M4A costs. The consensus is that M4A is significantly less expensive than the currently system.

The trick health insurance and pharmaceutical lobbyists are using is to say that M4A will be too expensive. For example, it will cost $32 billion dollars, the cost of the military budget! That would bankrupt the country!! The part they leave out is the current system is about $34 billion dollars, so it is actually saving $2 billion dollars. . . This is a very straightforward point, yet some people have difficulty with it. . . Imagine going to buy a new car. The cost of the car is $32,000 and the dealership offers you $34,000 trade-in for your old car. It would be silly to say “I can’t afford the car because I don’t have $32,000”, because they dealership is giving you $34,000 for your old car. Not only will you be able to afford it, you are making $2,000!!

This is one of the most effective misinformation tactics used by health care and pharmaceutical lobbyists., I’m not sure why people fall for it. If you don’t understand the above explanation, could you tell me why? That way I can improve my explanation,. Thanks.,

It is good to work with a source that is widely trusted and accepted like Wikipedia that has obviously its faults too.

The problem for a reasonable person is that Bernie Sanders doesn't explain that he is not following academic's definition of Socialism. Therefore reasonable people might lose their trust in him.

Many center left guys like Kyle Kulinsky were critisizing him for not using the term Social Democrat. He might have gained 10% more votes even some republicans would have voted for him. This way he might look like a guy with a "communist" agenda.

For M4A the 22 studies are quite impressiv. The thing is a reasonable person thinks if it is so clear then it is a no brainer. Or is there more to it? One has to play devil's advocate. Blind face even if it is with sources is not enough. After a little bit googling I came to this from the Atlantic:

"The Urban Institute, a center-left think tank highly respected among Democrats, is projecting that a plan similar to what Warren and Senator Bernie Sanders are pushing would require $34 trillion in additional federal spending over its first decade in operation. That’s more than the federal government’s total cost over the coming decade for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid combined, according to the most recent Congressional Budget Office projections."

A reasonable person would have problems to find a clear answer through the mixed messages.

I think if you want to convince a reasonable person one method I recently heard is steelmanning. You try to make your opponent's version as strong as possible and then try to argue against it. For example in our discussions it would be providing me sources against your own arguments before I provided it. Like the the ones from AOC, Wikipedia, the Atlantic.

Convincing is  sometimes too hard to do. Just to have a reasonable conversation steelmanning would be one element. That way you gain trust and will be trusted as a good faith actor. I know it is very hard to go against ones notions but it is often important to have a balanced view on things even if  not for you but for the sake of a satisfying conversation.

@Epikur I agree that there is confusion and ambiguity of what socialism, democratic socialism and social democrat is. And I agree Bernie was vague about this and his opposition easily painted him as a whacky socialist. You make an interesting point that if he adopted a new, cleaner term like social democrat he may have gotten more support. I knew some democrats that didn’t vote for him because he wasn’t a “real democrat” and they were worried he wouldn’t be loyal to the party.

Regarding M4A, it seems like some of the confusion is that only the cost of M4A is presented and people assume that it is an additional cost. For example, if I only told someone the cost of a car is $32,000 it would seem unaffordable, if I leave out the part that they will be getting $34,000 trade-in for their old car. . . In this context, it’s probably better to just say that M4A will save money.
