Escaping Wage Slavery

58 posts in this topic

Financial Freedom = Escape from wage slavery as Leo explained, in this day and age you can make millions in your 20s.

Also, if an entrepreneur loves his job it’s hardly “slavery” the ideal is that you don’t need to work for money and simply work because you love what you do.

Anyone at the top top of their field doesn’t just work for money.

Do you think these star athletes need money after their $50 Mil contracts, Or the musicians who have made millions, even the millionaire/ billionaire businessmen, or whatever?

They are simply in love with and obsessed with what you do, I’m at that stage now finally and I fucking love waking up and working 10 hour days in the week, LOVE it right now, I can’t get enough of it lol.

The ideal is finding something you love and be able to create financial freedom through it, or simply warning an income from it :)

To conclude, my main question is this: Is it really possible to escape wage slavery?

I guess not but you can see that there is no problem with that when you are doing what you love. You are probably always going to have some sort of obligation towards your income generator (e.g. job, your own company, real estate, stocks).

What you can improve is:

1. Spend less money (=less obligations)

2. Get your income stream from something you love doing

@RawJudah LMAO "It’s harder to escape wage slavery than it is to reach enlightenment" xD So counter-intuitive but so true. The hardest part about Earth is being human, not enlightenment lol

@svnzrs I was half joking...

I do think escaping ‘wage slavery’ is incredibly difficult, it’s up there with enlightenment because 99% of people fail to achieve either of them. Even if your a millionaire, you still cling to that money out of fear of losing it. The wage slavery problem doesn’t go away easily, just like the ego won’t go away easily with the pursuit of enlightenment.

@Leo Gura How do scientists truly become free of wage slavery?

I've got my own business, where I invent technology for a living, but its not really science, more engineering, and the bigger the business gets, the more mundane the job gets, plus the more managerial it gets the more employees we get.

How do you be your own boss as a scientist? It seems super hard, need to make a business that relies purely off grants and possibly selling patents.

Lol. Get where you're coming from. Meant being a researcher like writing research papers and being an Einstein.

I think if I get good enough at doing technical research and making inventions I could make a living off IP licensing or selling inventions/patents to larger corporations.

@GodDesireOnlyLove No offence here bro, do you not have higher aspirations than to live off Welfare forever?

Welfare is amazing, but I’m not sure you’re of great service to humanity simply living off of the state, is there nothing you could do to create your own income and independence?

After all, you are literally under the Govs control.

Doing consciousness work itself is it's own research work. You will get insights relative to whatever you want to learn about! All you need is open-mindedness. The more conscious you are, the more important/useful your opinion/perspective becomes to the world, the higher the likelihood you'll be recognized as an expert and make money that way.

This is what I wanna do. The problem is that I don't know how to write in my own language. Believe it or not, I write better English than Romanian.

Me on the road less traveled.

@LfcCharlie4 you are under nature control some sort. I get bored of things quickly.

I don't prétend being da Vinci but that's what I do. Games' love making Reading/listening : philosophy maths drawing music physics biology, I do sport/musculation understanding haaaa.

I like about everything.

"Spécialisation is for insect" an old video of leo I falled upon today.

Even marketing I understand and know how it work. I did in online games'

One day 9 hours of philosophy other one 14 hours of drawing. One year 3 Movies per day.

Did Electronic music 3 years. Now I m mainly drawing and podcast sport currently.

I don't feel having 'limitation' besides I m limited Indeed. But as everyone is.  Monney doesn't always makes you free.

I m just créative to never feel it. And I don't feel being limited 'more' yes and no. Being fun and confident has given me a 10/10 girl + my current gf ( that fit me more )

I can sleep without fear of the ring

I do work my ass off everyday. Currently drawing / listening podcast. See I learned english 5 years ago. I m more fluent than everyone in my country. Even talk english with international people irl sometimes.

Planning to explore more in futur others countries. Already a bit did younger.

Probably working more than most people. It will actualise one day. I m getting pro in everything slowly but surely. Don't have problems besides not enough monney to explore more. But time will godspeed, have some more self improvement to do, when I think I m the best version of myself, there is still "more".

My curse is my blessing ?❤️

Sure my goal is to improve in all of that, everyday.

Isn't marketing sayin if you have value you have something to sell ?

I put all the value in the temple of myself, the best opportunity right now for "me" is accepting the fact of this "stability" and working from it.

@GodDesireOnlyLove Fair enough bro, I wish you the best of luck!

I guess you are more the exception to the rule really!

And, of course if you have value that’s exactly what you Market, you can’t sell if you have nothing of value to sell, unless you’re into scamming people which nobody here is I imagine.

Over here in the UK there were literally welfare scams where people would claim enough to take their whole family on holidays to Florida without ever working which essentially was being paid for by Tax money. I found that very unfair where my dad worked 40-50 hour weeks every week, and we couldnt Of afforded a holiday like that, so I agree yes, welfare should pay for necessities, but I don’t think it should cover luxuries for those who could earn an income, but choose not to. Of course, you’re free to choose not to work, but I don’t think that should be rewarded with luxury holidays. If the whole population did this, the economy would fall apart, hence I think welfare is a great stop gap for those in need and who need it.

And, just to reiterate I am not saying welfare is bad, everyone should have clean water, food and shelter at the minimum, and healthcare.

My point is, if everyone did what you did and nobody worked a regular job or ran a business etc, welfare itself would fall apart!

Personally, I could never rely on the government for income if I had the choice not to.

@LfcCharlie4
Why should the welfare be lowered just because some working people can't afford the same quality of life?
From how I see it, the working people should get more and welfare should stay the same or relatively speaking more too. People who do literally nothing but earn money off of suffering shouldn't be paid millions and billions like they do now.

@LaucherJunge what do you mean people who earn millions and billions off of suffering?

Of course wealth distribution is unequal and that needs to change, however I’m not sure the solution is just welfare, it seems a lot more complex than that to me :)

Sorry, I do feel people who work or run a business for a living should be paid more than those who do nothing.

I did say I agree everyone should have access to clean water, healthy food, shelter etc, I just meant people who were abusing the system and gaming the system over here in the UK.

However, I could Be completely wrong here and could be biased, I just don’t agree people who don’t contribute to an economy should receive the same amount who do, sorry.

But, I could be biased!

@Leo Gura what’s your view on this out of interest?

The system is abusing the people, not the other way around.

Seems like you don't get my point. I'm saying people who contribute should earn more and people who don't should get more then enough either. I am not saying they should receive the same amount.
