Music To Inspire Enlightenment

Moby recently put out a 4h+ album of the most chilled out ambient music. Highly recommended.

"over the last couple of years i’ve been making really really really quiet music to listen to when i do yoga or sleep or meditate or panic. i ended up with 4 hours of music and have decided to give it away."

Found this song a few moments ago, it's really nice...

Finnish Sami Joik music

"A joik (also spelled yoik), luohti, vuolle, leu'dd, or juoiggus is a traditional form of song of the Sami people people of the Nordic countries. Originally, joik referred to only one of several Sami singing styles, but in English the word is often used to refer to all types of traditional Sami singing. As an art form, each joik is meant to reflect or evoke a person, animal, or place.

The sound of joik is comparable to the traditional chanting of some Native American cultures.[1] There are also features shared with shamanistic cultures of Siberia, which mimic sounds from nature."

Interesting.

I feel I’m done with this shell of mine
Separated from the one I knew
I’ll kill every minute on hold
While the ocean brings me back to life
I’ve lived, I’ve breathed, I’ve learned to be deceived
Sheltered for what it’s worth, forced to make it work
I feel I’m chosen to see what others haven’t seen
It’s not a tragedy, it’s just reality, but how it makes me believe

If you have time you should listen to the whole album, it's pretty neat.

PJ Harvey - White Chalk

White chalk hills are all I've known
White chalk hills will rot my bones
White chalk sticking to my shoes
White chalk playing as a child with you

White chalk sat against time
White chalk cutting down the sea line
I know Mary's by the surf
On a path cut 1500 years ago

And I know these chalk hills will rot my bones

Dorset's cliffs meet at the sea
Where I walked
(Our unborn child in me)
White chalk
(Poor scattered land)

Scratch my palms
There's blood on my hands

This song puts me in a calm, mystic mode.

"Keep The Streets Empty For Me"

Memory comes when memory's old
I am never the first to know
Following the stream up North
Where do people like us float

There is room in my lap
For bruises, asses, handclaps
I will never disappear
For forever, I'll be here

Whispering
Morning, keep the streets empty for me
Morning, keep the streets empty for me

I'm laying down, eating snow
My fur is hot, my tongue is cold
On a bed of spider web
I think of how to change myself

A lot of hope in a one man tent
There's no room for innocence
Take me home before the storm
Velvet mites will keep us warm

Whispering
Morning, keep the streets empty for me

Uncover our heads and reveal our souls
We were hungry before we were born

- Beautiful subtle song that makes me relax.

This song was already posted here before, I'd like to post it too, because I agree so much. Probably the closest to the topic of enlightenment I heard before (I guess).

"Life is all about you and not at all about you
Now, that's two opposing thoughts and yet both of them are true
How can you experience everything you choose to do
While observing the experience you're having from a higher view
See, it's the question, not the answer, that's the higher view
Otherwise, you couldn't differentiate between the two
Awareness? But of who?
You think you hurt me, but I promise I was letting you
They say we're all one, but where have we been headed to
I'd rather die free than have to live inside a petting zoo
I am the journey that I'm getting to

I could be it all, I'll make a good life
Let me lose my mind, it's the only way to love
Only way to, only way to love
I could be it all, I'll make a good life
Let me lose my mind, it's the only way to love
Only way to, only way to love

Gratitude is my destination
My destiny is perfectly aligned with this location
I am the map, so I travel back in time
I have everything I want cause my imagination is mine
But mind is not enough for me cause I am not my mind
I could see it all, but never get to see I'm truly blind
I could be it all, but all identities intertwine
The moon is only bright cause it reflects the sun's shine

I could be it all, I'll make a good life
Let me lose my mind, it's the only way to love
Only way to, only way to love

It's not the human race, it's just the human race
There's nothing left to chase, we do not run this place
But both medicine and poison's an acquired taste
So I started taking selfies of somebody else's face

Tell me something
What is more genius than a child's laughter
Are we not simply the children of this world?"

Man, watched Leo's new video and it pretty much hits the nail on the head.  Double binds create that limited world view.  How to get out?  Idk ... man, it's pretty entrenched.  Anyways, some songs to capture that.

I want to listen to this with the windows shaking so loud ! :D

For me it kinda reminds me off victory over your fears, so for me it fits in the self development category and i just like epic music.:)
