Why is China hated so much in the West?

China has entire propaganda campaigns to demonize Americans. They are shameless about it.

It is natural for Americans to worry about what happens when the Chinese economy overtakes America. That doesn't mean China is bad, but there is legit concern there.

Will China invade Taiwan? Who knows? China is a pretty big jerk in the South Sea. How much more of a jerk will they be? Who knows?

You can't just assume they will be nice. They could grow arrogant and bold. They could abuse their power.

I think China wants harmony and stability instead of  endless wars. The US hegemony was an improvement to the British Empire, but an multipolar world with a strong US,EU, and China setting the tone would be much peaceful and sane.

I am not Chinese. The chinese has an issue with falun gong due to falun gong's discriminatory teachings against homosexuality and denial of modern medicine.

However, stating that the Chinese are indulged in human experimentation on falun gong is far-fetched and is typical western propaganda which downplays their own excesses in China under chinese monarchy and their own role in bringing up a communist chinese government instead of a democratic one.

The western powers including the US were democratic themselves back then  but were concerned more with extracting economic and territorial concessions from monarchical China rather than treating it as an equal or paving the foundations for a democratic china back then, (if they were indeed serious about their self-proclaimed roles of champions of democracy back then.)

So now we have a communist china indignant at the indignities perpetrated on it by the western so-called democratic nations during their period of exploitation.

 You are talking about discrimination by the Chinese against religious minorities in China forgetting the atrocities of the US against the american minorities of native americans, blacks and hispanics over there.

Also atrocities of the US army in its invasive campaigns in Mexico, philliphines, Haiti, Panama,Iraq, Vietnam, Afghanistan and others are quite evident.

Also as Jimmy Carter stated earlier, China since 1979 had not engaged in major wars while the US has been engaged in many, with the obvious human rights violations that come with it, considering that bombing of civilian and urban regions are a major part of its tactical doctrine regardless of the civilian casualties.

The double standard argument is fair, but the scale of China's economy and its role in supply chains makes it a different kind of concern than Saudi or UAE. When something is that central to your own economy, the scrutiny goes up.

Vietnam is communist but America is just fine with that.  And Vietnam tends to align more with the United States as a counterweight to China.  But it shows that the "communist" argument is rather hollow.

They steal advanced tech blueprints. Like the way Israel stole America nuclear weapon tech. Israel and China steal anything they can.

Yeah that’s true. I think their drones and EV technology is pretty much their foray though and they are damn good at it too. I’m far from an expert on this subject. China is able to create a lot of really great consumer electronics and goods at an excellent price. They take stuff that was created in other countries and do an unbelievable job at making it themselves more efficiently. They maybe don’t put as much effort into R&D.

2) Epstein is a very unique scandal which is an outlier and should not be used to muddy the water.

3) China does not have a free press. Of course they are not going to give you news of their internal corruption. If Epstein happened in China, you wouldn't even know about it. You don't think there's a million kids being prostituted in China? Of course there are. The Chineses are as horny and immoral as anyone else.
