I remember (if I'm not mistaken) you saying in one of the older videos that it wouldn't surpirse you to see a monk levitating.

What made you change your minid?

I am open to it. But I won't accept anyone's stories of it.

With age I become more realistic.

What do you think which from these siddhis are probably real? Do you have siddhis?

The real magic is realizing that you are identical to your mother. No, not one with her. Not a part of her. Not related to her. You are your mother. This requires insane increase of consciousness to really get it.

What if the magic for getting money was having a job?

I guess printing money would do as well. 😁

Why aren't the limitations of this reality that aren't constructed by humanity not magical enough?

How would you prove that your manifestation is what directly caused the result beyond assumptions / beliefs?

The actual mechanics/limitations of current reality doesn't depend on believing that reality is material. Beliefs cannot directly change the limitations beyond belief-based limitations. Maybe you believe that some technique could change, and then when you do it the limitations change. But that's indirect, and still you have to prove to yourself that the change isn't a belief.

The problem of belief is that without actually knowing whether something is true you assume it is, and then whatever happens to you, you will think that it's because you believed in it, especially that the belief is the direct cause. You get lost in a self-reinforcing loop.

But what's magical about belief is that if you believe that reality is material, it will become material.

For exploration and testing how powerful hypnosis is, I have listened to hypnosis files. They work like magic, given some time, because you completely concentrate your focus on an idea being real until it becomes solidified in your mind. Links get created in your mind between different things, so when you think about a certain thing, it can directly affect what/how you feel and act. It's terrifyingly powerful; you can be hypnotized to experience an intense bliss!

People underestimate how suggestible their minds are.

Probably a hot take for this forum --- what even is the point of asking people who likely have no aptitude and no experience practicing if they think a thing is valid?

You might as well ask people who have been blind their whole life what it is like to see. It might be interesting for some other reason, but how is that going to advance your practice?

I'm not just saying what I said above to put people down who do not have the experience or aptitude (or frankly, the interest in doing anything about this particular subject rather than conceptualizing/ speculating ad infinitum), but specifically for the OP or anyone who is interested in magick or manifestation: if you're of a receptive enough mind (aka. sensitive and well developed in those specific ways) to make it work and you also have the focus of mind, do not let uninvolved people know what you're doing. If it really matters, keep it to yourself, especially while a work or experiment is in progress.

They have absolutely nothing to lose, you do.

The flaw in this logic is the conflation of what "you" means.

You are God but your ego is not Omnipotent. Your logic tries to make the ego Omnipotent, which is a mistake.

You can just observe that your thoughts do not directly manifest themselves.

You can sit for 12 hours straight visualizing a lightning bolt will kill you, and no bolt will hit you. This proves the ego's thoughts do not directly materialize. But they can indirectly, like if you think about chasing tornados, lightning is more likely to hit you.

Magic is real for God, not for the ego. Magic is Infinity, but ego is finite. To have magic you have to surrender the ego's attachment to outcome, even attachment to staying alive. Then magic will happen. As long as ego is trying to manipulate Reality, that's not magic, that's survival, that's business as usual.

The ego is sneaky, it wants to use God to manipulate Reality for survival. But that isn't Good, that's evil. That's what every dicatator does. Kings and tyrants believe their will is God's Will, which delusional.

Neville Goddard and many others from the New Thought movement proposed the same idea that @AtmanIsBrahman is mentioning...

I do agree with @AtmanIsBrahman that the way Leo often talks about accomplishing things still comes very much from a stage orange or stage blue paradigm of action taking and discipline.

I'm not saying there's nothing to that but reality doesn't always seem linear like that either.

There does seem to be a mystical and spiritual or energetic element to things.

I mean all you have to do is read Fredric Dodson or David R Hawkins book which proposes exactly this.

In the 500s I believe is peak rationality and logic which is where all the tech bros would reside at least a portion of the time.

But as you get higher and higher on the scale, the miracles and luck factor seem to go up exponentially corresponding with the frequency or level of energy.

Neville Goddard proposes before going to sleep, when your mind's defenses are down so to speak to visualize and feal your way into a different identity.

Many hardcore skeptics for this reason struggle with hypnosis since their mind is too defensive and shoots down any woo-woo ideas that don't fit the left brain over-thinking.

I think that there is something too this or it could be extremely dangerous as well to take it on as a belief system.

I'm not sure.

Either way you're in a cult. Whether it's a new-age one, Law of Attraction crowd, or society and it's default (cult)ure

I mean if everything is mind and quantum physics yada yada why wouldn't it work.

Not that I care that much.

I'm often too detached to care.

Because the ego's control over Reality is a self-serving illusion.

You guys want to manipulate Reality rather than surrendering to God.

It’s more that it just doesn’t follow a logical conclusion from any of the “system” or “logic” that is given in the forum/videos. Somehow, you’re saying that there are magical chemicals that can alter your entire perception of reality and selfhood, change your concept of who you are, and somehow expand your ego or let go of your ego so much that it becomes God, omnipotent and all-knowing. Alien intelligence, consciousness, experience. What’s it like to be all humans, all genders, all animals, murderers and the purest saints? Become the people you know, etc., etc.

Yet, you cannot imagine any tiny bit of stereotypical magic in the future.

It just doesn’t track.

Just like an ego limits your mind and body, and you have compounds that let it loose. Why would it ever even be able to discover higher consciousness? There’s no reason why this might not be a potential discovery in the future of something “stereotypically” magical.

I just don’t see a good argument for it, nor has one been provided.

By this logic, you should never be able to awaken, ever. Why would the ego "allow" for it, or allow for any chemical to cause it?

People aren’t trying to be wishful thinkers or “not surrendering to God.” People are questioning the logic and consistency of the system, hence the question.

I don't deny siddhis are possible.

But praying for money to fall on you from the sky is childish nonsense that warrants no serious explanation.

If you wanted to develop siddhis, that's another discussion.

Because the ego's control over Reality is so limited.

Your argument is like, "Why would the US government ever allow 9/11?" Because the government doesn't control much. The government is always overcompensating for its lack of control.

How many times must spiritual gurus tell you that the ego's control is illusory before you get the message?

But the standard of identifying and marking out dimensions still applies so you can relay methods to others, someone's stage on spiral dynamics is irrelevant here when it comes to requiring that outside of them merely being sensible.

That's not magic, that's circadian hacking which is an established science now.

There's many other reasons as well, from being more neuroplastically rigid rather than necessarily left-brain dominated to feeling pressure to endorse a more cautious view. This can come across as less open minded when in reality, caution is just the drug of choice to prevent memetic mismatches in the same way that religious extremism needs more intellectual management. Another reason is also controlled capitalism and the money around that intelligence which quickly becomes geopolitical. Another reason is that because its such a loaded topic, its to endorse one aspect without endorsing a whole range of shit that has no basis in reality.

But the lines need to be drawn, even in most witchcraft television series they draw lines around themselves with salt to protect themselves from evil spirits. The same thing has to be done intellectually; its not less open mindedness in some cases, its less naivety and gullibility.

But you have to question why it becomes a cult at all, is it because special knowledge can only be reserved for certain adept individuals that have climbed the group hierarchy? That's the first red flag that yes, is the basis for sensible skepticism over what in many cases, has turned out to be a silly pyramid scheme. Regardless Occam's razor is not that this stuff is all fake, to the contrary, its that humans by and large have many behaviours that are manipulative, cynical, greedy, psychopathic, delusional, irresponsible, gullible and power hungry. Place all those ingredients in a big metallic bowl on top of a hot stove designed to stew the soup of truth by the end for night time mystical rituals and you'll have more success trying to summon Elvis with a Ouija board.

On a personal note, I do definitely believe in dark vs light spiritual energy, even to the point where I believe that people can even become 'possessed' for lack of a better word to use concerning, however my investigation on establishing the right coordinates concerning is far from over, so I find it more reasonable to critique with sensible wisdom.

No, my argument was to point out the correlation.

If all is infinity, God, then all finite things have a looser grip on "reality" than infinity itself. So if the ego can get loosey-goosey and “succumb” to infinity, what’s stopping reality itself from getting more wonky, loosey-goosey, and more “stereotypically” magical?

If the ego can break free from the chains of finitude, what’s stopping material things from being more malleable and loosey-goosey too?

And we also see evidence of the ego changing and becoming more malleable as you awaken, because you realize the “fake illusion” of control and the boundaries you put on yourself. You can change your mind and bend it in more productive ways.

Not fully, of course, but I feel like denying any magical possibility is just silly, especially given the framework you’re proposing.

Dr K here says more or less what I already noticed. That a) trying to make things happen by magic  doesn't work , b) sometimes weird things happen , but c) I can't predict when how or why weird things happen .

I think if u raise your consciousness the likelihood of things working out goes up , you could view that from a practical or a mystical viewpoint. For one, if ur consciousness is higher you have fewer desires so u need less to be happy , also your brain works better , and you're less needy.

Maybe I’m missing something, but this is the contradiction I’m pointing out.

Assumption: Everything is ultimately the same substrate (God).

  • If the “ego” can exert some force of finitude that prevents us from accessing God right now, then, by the same logic, “material objects” exert a stubborn constraint that prevents reality from becoming more magically malleable.
  • But if the ego can sometimes lose that control (due to whatever combination of chemical compounds, contemplation, yoga, meditation, focus) and “break free” of those constraints, then it seems like the same possibility should apply to the material level too.
  • If the ego can be molded and changed after awakening, and usually is to some extent, what’s stopping the possibility of material things also being molded and changed to some extent?

If everything is ultimately the same substrate, i.e., infinity, then I don’t see how the model can consistently explain why one kind of constraint could be overcome while the other is categorically impossible.

Am I missing something here?

@Xonas Pitfall

I am not denying that God can hallucinate a 20 inch dick. Of course it can. That's what a horse has. I am denying that your ego will cause God to give a human a horse dick.

God is hallucinating stuff completely out of your control. That's what physics is.

If you can manifest a $100 bill, you can also manifest changing the gravity on Earth to lighter so humans can flap their arms and fly. Why not do that instead?
