Loneliness

I don't view loneliness as something I have to deal with per se (as in, it doesn't require me to do anything in particular). It is just another emotion. It's fine. Passes very quickly like all emotions.

Resisting it, avoiding it, distracting - amplifies it. My experience of it.

It depends where it arrives from, lonilesss isn't totally clear cut to me. Is it just the longing for physically being with another? Is it wanting to be seen or known? Is it wanting conversation? Is it just wanting to be needed, or wanted, by another?

I normally go into the feeling with enquiry.

💯 This perspective wassnt stated yet. You don't have to do anything about it.

Sometimes we treat emotional states as "things to be solved". It might not always be the right approach 😊

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

How do you guys deal with loneliness?

Fall is arriving here in Finland, it’s getting darker, wetter and colder each day.

I have a ton of people in my circle, but none my true friend, which just makes it all the worst.

How do you deal with it? I deal with it via art, music, crying, dancing and the little surface level socializing I do.

Loneliness is a choice.  I used to be terrified of being alone, now I relish it. But it took many decades.   In time it will fall away.  You can still enjoy another's company, but you no longer need it, and you will cherish your alone time.
