Oh this is interesting.

Imagine after his trip he drops this longevity bullshit and becomes a mystic preaching God and Love.

It's just his clickbait. He needs to keep inventing more hi-tech BS to keep his shtick going.

Psychedelics tax your body. And 5-MeO is not to be used for such shallow purposes.

Working out taxes the body as well. You're not supposed to workout 24/7.

Not a good comparison. Yes working out taxes the body but the muscles grow. Psychedelics tax your body differently, leading to long-term consequences. Your brain cells don’t grow back like your muscles do. Neurogenesis doesn’t work like you’d think. Maybe you can’t work out 24/7, but you can workout maybe 12/7 by working different muscle groups. Even walking and wall-sitting is a workout. Psychedelics should be done seriously for one purpose—Awakening.

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

I was thinking more in terms of kundalini/prana energy. Maybe 5meo can dissolve some energetic blockages, for example by getting at such high levels of consciousness, you could get new perspectives on your life and resolve traumas, unconscious stress, etc.

This would then ultimately benefit health and longevity.

I have never tried 5meo though so I don’t know how it would be different from other psychedelics in this context.

In what way? What makes it detrimental to longevity?

Taxing the brain now? Why is it detrimental to longevity? How do you know this?

Idk about longevity but following 5 meo I began my kriya yoga practice and had a kundalini awakening which led to a monthlong period of pretty intense destabilization.

If you believe in chakras you might say 5 meo forcibly opens the crown chakra.
