@AIONWell, I think if you argue or take to to mean I get everything then it could be problematic. But to simply say it then I dont think its wrong. But if you are like Im God and I am going to take you guys out when I am gone like Leo said before it could be problematic. Thats like him saying Im going to take out my left toenail for no reason.

I dont think the left toenail saying I am God is problamatic unless the left toenail starts to take from the other toenails cause it feels its better or more special than the other toenails because it found out its God. If the left toenail wants to take more from the other toenails as its nature then maybe thats fine but if it does it because it found out its part of God and therefore God then could be wrong. 

I think for the character to say 'Its only me' is foolish. The blackness behind you is the only one but it cant say that. And its extremely limiting.

I'm with @Zigzag Idiot. Saying that you are "god" in public is asking for trouble. The word carries a lot of emotional charge and to say you're God could be offensive to some. It could only be used if the people understand your context, such as on this forum. Anyway. Even if you believe it in private it's still problematic, because God has the connotation of being omnipotent, which clearly you're not. You're special, but not that special.

Well, yes. I guess so.

One thing I'd say though is that I don't think the ego "does" anything per se, and that the self vs no self boundary is incredibly muddy. There isn't "a" self in truth, even if one is engrossed in selfhood. BUT there is still the possibility of being fooled/believing in lower energies and acting on them, which makes one look "egoic" - even if one has genuinely awoken to being God. The full cleansing of one's energetic landscape is something quite different from awakening/insight into God. One doesn't have to be 100% energetically pure to realize God, and in fact there can be a kind of bipolarity where one can act from very high energy and be aware of Godhood in one day, and then have a lower energy backlash next week. This doesn't invalidate the God awakening and one can still have it in memory, "in the background". It's tricky.

It would be funny if you just go to a party and say you are God, if you do it with a wink and a smile, it might actually work. If you do it seriously, in the worst case they will call a shrink to tie you up and take you with them. And that is exactly where you belong. I'm just being frank here. That is what people will do to you. And I'm not here to hurt your little feelings. Just stating what will happen if you have some integrity and stand up what you believe in your little DMT dungeons.
