Taboo and silly topic - farts and burbs

This is risky, I hope noone gets angry at me for this topic :D

What are your thoughts about the topic of farting and burbing in front of people who are close to you and you have to spend time in one room together often, such as your roommates, your children, your parents or siblings but most especially - in romantic relationships? 😀

It had to be done.

As a woman learn to love the gas, because that's what a man 💪🏼 does. 😆
A woman is only allowed to do if hers smells like flowers. 😆
----

It depends on the situation, sometimes the sneaky ones are the best. Sometimes the audible ones are the best as the appending doom that's about to come.
----

In a romantic relationship I make it light hearted, make it a bit jokey. But if someone is uncomfortable with it, I will try to do in another room.

It's interesting because there are really two conflicting opinions and I've heard peaple have both totally opposite ones.

I do not do that because I've been too shy about it and I haven't lived with a partner yet. However it really hurts physically and makes me really irritable, resentful and angry if I try to keep it in 😀 it even makes me wanna meet my partner less, spend less time together because I truly hate it. Am I the only one? I've had partners who are completely against farting in front of people, and I've had partners who farted in front of me, and I've had ones that have tried to convince me to start farting too because they wished that I feel comfy, but I couldn't because of social conditioning. I would like to overcome it once and I wish to have a partner who wants me to do it. The most annoying part is the inequality, women seem to be less "allowed" to do that. Sometimes people express this opinion and I cannot decode whether it is a joke or a real opinion, than man can and women shouldn't.

If you follow certain dietary rules, you won't have any nasty gasses. Nasty gasses happen only when you miss things you're not supposed to mix inside your stomach.

Burbs on the other hand are fine. I burb like a dragon all the time.

Its completely natural and what is natural should not be suppressed. If your loved ones can't handle it or judge it or take it seriously they are the wrong people to be around, move on, align with those who accept you in your fullness and wholeness. My farts rarely smell tho, humor without the smell is a win :)

People who eat poorly tend to nuke the room and everyone needs to leave, that's another story haha

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance ~ of a unified mystery...

I eat clean so rarely pass gas. And when I do - zero smell.

I tend to go to the bathroom if it does happen. I can make them soundless no worries. Good control

But if one slips out accidently it doesn't bother me - no shame :)

Burping I am okay with - no smell, less chance of offence. Some of my tradie mates can make that shit resonate

As with anything... balance. The middle way !

What do you eat if you don’t mind?

Vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish and small amounts of red meat on occassion. Cottage cheese. Tea, coffee, water. Some nuts added in.

I am very lactose intolerant and have fructose malabsorption 🥹 so I have to avoid foods containing those in large amounts.

I don't eat bread, pasta, rice, processed sugar. I basically avoid anything processed / artificial.

Most people cannot eat this way. But it is easy for me, because if I eat badly my spiritual practice is shit, my work is poo, sleep is not good and energy / happiness is reduced. I just happen to be very sensitive to the effects of foods, so it makes avoiding very easy ☺️

Wheat gives me joint pain as well. Some sort of generic thing I got from my Dad.

Legumes don't cause gasses if you soak them overnight and boil them properly with proper spices and oil that reduce their vata aggravating qualities.

Also it matters what you combine your foods with. You shouldn't combine legumes with fruit, cheese, eggs, fish, milk, meat, or yogurt or it will cause problems due to mismatched post-digestive effects, causing gas, fermentation, bloating, and ama (toxins).

I mean even the order in which you eat your foods make a lot of difference. Diet is like science. It's not just eat whatever you like. There's a lot good info out there that people could learn.

False healthy foods that are not really suited to the human digestive system cause gas; like legumes even when soaked in basic water, nuts, certain vegetables especially cruciferous ones, milk, and sulfur products like garlic.

You would never eat these foods if you were truly refined or attentive.

I did it; i tried everything some years ago and from a certain amount legumes always caused brain fod, gas and even heavy gut pain.

And because it's not real human food it quickly becomes boring to eat; unless it's in small quantities, well cooked, and with other ingredients that give it a lot of flavor.

It's like nuts; nobody likes nuts that's a lie, people like nuts roasted and if possible ground into a puree or mixed with other things, otherwise they're bland and boring.

Yes but why complicate your life with ayurvedic delirium when you can simply listen to what you love.

Why complicate life so much with food in general unless you are 80 years old and in a retirement home.
