Rob Reiner murdered by Son, Trump mocks

Famous actor / director and Trump critic Rob Reiner was found stabbed to death with his wife and his son arrested as the suspect

Apparently just before this they got into a loud argument at a party hosted by Conan O’Brien 

Trump went on truthsocial to mock him

 

He previously collaborated with his son to make a film about his addiction.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of drug fueled rage thing. Just speculating though.

But son spoke in past about having drug fueled rage episodes.

It turns out that Nick Reiner has Schizophrenia and stopped taking his anti-psychotic medications for it regularly. He's also a drug addict.

Unironically dementia + partial strokes have made him more unhinged in the last few months. When your brain gets damaged your filters come off and it’s not uncommon for people to turn into bigger asses than they already were.

What I find interesting about this case is that the son had access to the best of what the liberal scientific worldview assumes is the correct solution.    His father had unimitated funds and was a celebrity.  He had access to the best of the best.  The cost of his most recent care was $70,000 per month.  In addition to that, his father was a liberal with infinite compassion and understanding.   These are all the ingredients that this culture views as the enlightened treatment.     

The fact that it didn’t work should make one at least ponder if the emperor has any clothes.  Or is scientific materialism and the underlying culture actually empty and fake.   The defenders will object “well he was diagnosed with schizophrenia”.  But then again we are trapped within the system which uses its failed conclusions to defend itself.  Maybe all he needed was a lashing under Sharia law, so he would get the learning that when he acted like an asshole there was something more powerful than him that would respond.     

One thing we can say about the current system:  it’s not economically feasible when only very rich people can afford the solutions and it even fails them.

He also had substance abuse and addiction issues which would have been more amenable to treatment.  Schizophrenics aren't necessarily violent.   The Schizophrenia claim will be used to keep him out of prison.

But that means some are.

People are not a statistic. They are particular. Mental illness does lead to violence in plenry of cases.

Watch those police cam videos. Many of those violent people are mentally ill. You can clearly see they are mentally unhinged before they attack the police.

Of course mentally ill people become addicts, because the drugs is the only relief they have from their painful condition.

Something like 33% of homeless street people have schizophrenia and are often addicts.

We don't learn about mental illnesses in school and a lot of us grow up with family and parents that are extremely dysfunctional whether it's overtly or covertly. What are your favorite books or thinkers on mental health?

I'm not surprised people do these heinous acts; life can get really, really bad, and the world is a big place.

If you think about those school shooter statistics, and how they skyrocketed over the years. Nothing has really changed materially; people used to get bullied just as much as they do now, and guns have been present in America for a long time. The difference is, men, really, men today have been bred into much weaker, socially inept, and sad creatures.

It's mostly about video games, social media, and all that self-isolating jazz, so much so that I believe it's a threat to the existence of society. These things have to be turned off every week on a consistent basis.
