Like some people think that if you get enough approval and love from others you will be happy. But in reality, only you can make yourself loved and happy. These kind of things.

Technically that's the hard way though. Love from others is never guaranteed, but there's a endless supply from yourself.

Where I live, there's a fundamental problem (or two) with the plumbing which means water leaks through the floor every so often.

Predictably, the landlord will only ever agree to quick fixes ("the easy way") like unclogging the pipe, asking me to use a different shower in the house, flushing extra water through the pipe regularly to reduce build-up.

To fix the underlying issues, or even to try to fix them, might mean taking up the floor to inspect a pipe and maybe replacing it ("the hard way").

Neither of us particularly want to incur that cost.

The longer you put it off - the more $$$ it will be.

Just like teeth.

Yes most people don't even bother developing themselves! They will always take the road of least resistance, and then wonder where all those years went right before they die.

Cooking. There's so many food products and services who's selling point is convenience.

When I worked as food delivery you would always have regulars who'd order all the time. They must have been on benefits.

Everything in construction.

I see the most creative ways to cut corners to make handover dates and reduce costs.

Beware all you guys if you ever buy or build your own places....

The insane shit I see when we demo or what trades do would blow your minds.

Amen brother, I need to work on this one particularly. I'm very good at reading and learning but utterly hopeless at coming up with original thoughts. Thinking and contemplating big time.

Just consuming like a survival rat in a laboratory environment eating all the processed cheese it can stuff it's face with...damm makes me sick to think but it is the recognition of the disease that then can then begin to bring about change.

Honestly if I hadn't found actualized.org I might've wasted my entire life living the rat life. That is to say I still have a long way to go to achieve true autonomy of mind...

People on social media largely only read the headlines of articles.
