What kind of things do people usually go the "easy way" rather than the "hard way"?

Like some people think that if you get enough approval and love from others you will be happy. But in reality, only you can make yourself loved and happy. These kind of things.

Technically that's the hard way though. Love from others is never guaranteed, but there's a endless supply from yourself.

Where I live, there's a fundamental problem (or two) with the plumbing which means water leaks through the floor every so often.

Predictably, the landlord will only ever agree to quick fixes ("the easy way") like unclogging the pipe, asking me to use a different shower in the house, flushing extra water through the pipe regularly to reduce build-up.

To fix the underlying issues, or even to try to fix them, might mean taking up the floor to inspect a pipe and maybe replacing it ("the hard way").

Neither of us particularly want to incur that cost.

The longer you put it off - the more $$$ it will be.

Just like teeth.

It is far easier to trick someone, than to convince them they have been tricked.
