What are some things we do today that future generations will see as "savage"?

A lot of salt - ironic as it's probably the other way around 🙃😂

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

For real, I see no problem with this. As I said, smoking 3 or 4 cigarettes a week ain't no problem. There is nothing problematic in being happy.
I don't see a problem in that, the same way you guys don't seem to see a problem when you plug a syringe in your asshole to experience "God". You experience God, I experience serenity.

I just love how you never back down for anyone. You stand your ground. People always trying to tell us what's right or wrong for us and trying to steal our joy. They have a problem with you smoking one or two cigs while watching the sky at night which you say makes you extremely happy. That's not enough, they want to hear how miserable you are for them to feel ok. Misery loves company. Do you.

What you know leaves what you don't know and what you don't know is all there is.

I actually thought about this exact question a bunch. I think the biggest factor would be how material our society is despite being as technologically advanced as it is. How exploitative society is run in all of its facets are consequences of this materialism.

I also think a lack of care for social cohesion will be seen as self-destructive and short-sighted.

Politically, a lack of long-term strategizing will likely be seen as primitive. One of the reason China is doing so well currently is because they can plan for the long-term, as it's a one-state party which doesn't have to compete for power. In general, modern society is a bit too short-term in it's approach. It's more like immaturity than straight up barbarism though, I think.

@Princess Arabia Thanks a lot for the kind words! I really appreciate it. I also love your way of defining your own worldview. Always stay loyal to your character!

I prefer being lost in falsehood and being true to myself than being a champion of truth but being untrue to myself.

🤦

I see that you had to modify what I originally wrote in order to make the facepalm reaction fit.

I originally wrote "Factory farming and eating meat and dairy in the quantities we currently eat them."

Then, you quoted it as, "Factory farming and eating meat and dairy" (full stop)

Intellectual dishonesty is one of my pet peeves.

If you have to edit someone's post to make it look more reasonable to facepalm it... it indicates that you DID originally see the content in that post as reasonable and not fitting of a facepalm as it was.

So, you recognized that you needed to edit my original post to make it look less reasonable to assume and less likely to happen.

But I think it's quite reasonable that future generations will be more mindful about their meat and dairy consumption... as even our current generation is more mindful about these things than the generation before.

And it's especially reasonable as an assumption with all the fairly realistic alternatives and lab grown meat.

Think about why you changed my original post to facepalm it. You'll be surprised at how much you recognize this as a very realistic reality... even if you don't like to admit it to yourself.

@Emerald relax sister .the biggest crime you can ever do in your life is to take me seriously. 😂

I didn't even read the entire post ..I just spotted the pattern with so many different posts about stopping eating meat and i reacted like that because humans have to calm the fuck down about shaming themselves for killing animals cruely and stuffing their stomach with flesh and blood .because of philosophical reasons me and you have discussed before and there is no need to repeat them.

In the future, humane lab rat meat for all!

I have a dream, where our grandchildren can eat rat burgers without an ounce of guilt.

When all orange tech is put in service of green values, we'll get high quality food from the ground up, done in the lab, nutritius, healthy and with no need to murder sentient beings.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

How silly that MMA blood sport was apes beating apes, let's hope that ends. I believe the future will be more like Soylent Green and The Purge, the poor and meek going after the richO.oxD . Humans in the future will go, " Why the hell did you vote for Trump? What were you thinking? Maybe you weren't.:S The killing of both whales and dolphins, sharks, and other marine life, and pollution. celebrities. I remember this could be false; there was a SeaWorld where you could watch killer whales while eating a whale burger at the same time in Japan. European and other trophy hunters, human Greed is another one, Ignorance, selfishness, common sense, and human stupidity, which may take a while longer. End of using fossil fuels, not using Industrial Hemp, polymers, circuses, child labour, MAGA, corrupt governments, Big Pharma, ultra-processed foods, racism, misogyny, squabbling over land, deforestation,mega-corporations, fission is not the only fuel/Energy source. Predictable childish behavioral patterns going unchecked until adulthood. This is mostly mocked and often legislated against now, culminating in arrests often, but still exists in many people, and in some cases is a large piece of a country's psyche.

In a sense it was never strictly necessary in the contemporary world for most people, but we'll likely continue doing it - for quite some time, at least. Overall, it sounds like a pipe dream.

I just really don't like it when people misrepresent someone else's perspective by misquoting it or strawmannirg it in other kinds of ways.

The constant barrage of intellectual dishonesty in the world and the ubiquity of internet propaganda have made me even more sensitive to it as it's just infuriating... and sometimes it's even dangerous.

So, I like to call it out directly when I see it... even in small forms.

But I get it. You're not Vegan, and you don't agree with it. But you should still work on avoiding strawmanning your opponents... even if I grant you that it was done accidentally.

I'm not as optimistic. It is in general extremely hard to replicate natural processes. Artificial cell production requires expensive machinery and skilled experts to work whereas a cow just needs a patch of grass and doesn't care if it gets dirty. Dumb cows effortlessly convert grassland into meat.
