The Internet has adopted the Alex Jones model.  No matter what happens, we can no longer agree on the simple facts.  At least a few dozen YouTube channels will bury the discussion in an avalanche of trivia.  Where did the bullet go?  Was there more than one bullet?  Bullets just don’t behave that way?  What was written on the bullet?  Can bullets talk?  Did the bullet have any feelings for Kirk?   As a result, any meaningful discussion gets lost in a sea of irrelevant speculation.

I understand, what the fuck do you expect us to do? I know we must behave ourselves in the light of all this, but it's really hard especially when people are being bigots talking a bunch of shit in positions of power.

I do get emotional because of this stuff but how can I reframe it or what is a better way to go about this, not just me but all the rest of us that are acting like animals?

It's not a conspiracy theory. Theory would be an answer, conspiracy is a group of people planning something nefarious; like "the jews control the u.s., Hilary runs a pedophile ring", this is an inquiry.

That video guy is an idiot though, the shot is in a canyon of buildings, you would have no idea which direction the shot came from, the sound bounced off everything.

Also, you guys keep saying he was wearing a plate, he wasn't, if he got hit in a plate he would have been knocked backward HARD, this wasn'ta .22 bouncing off a plate, what was used would go straight through 1/2" steel. The police said he was not wearing a plate. 

The shooting is consistent with the police report, at the high angle the bullet could have deflected down his spine and scapula on his other side, it's likely that he didn't use an fmj round given he knew about guns quite a bit.

Celebrating political violence is more than just political correctness.

Imagine if AOC was killed and right-wingers were celebrating. You know that is wrong. And of course they would celebrate that, but the left is supposed to be better than that. If people were celebrating the murder of AOC you would rightly feel upset at them for being animals. You would count that against their side. So of course right-wingers feel that way.

This is profound. I am looking from the right wing side, and connecting it to your episodes understanding the liberal mind and the conservative mind, and my entire sense of reality is bending in this weird paradox. 

Now, looking from the opposite perspective I can choose to suspend my judgement or be mindful of my actions and reactions, rather than lashing out or defending from one side.

I am my political opponents, we are each other. It's fucking twisted

There's no scoreboard.... This is such a weird take, conservatives have called for Obama to be killed for 15 years, you're worried about offending them with one random guy saying "rest in piss". I wouldn't count anything against their side, it's not a game..... there's not teams..... this is such a Mickey mouse way of looking at things.

Anyone that didn't vote against republicans in 2024, does not care about decorum, at all.

EVERY democratic leader has come out against the shooting. There's no internet posts that "make the left look bad". That's nonsense, trying to act like the left is some holier than thou, makes us look bad and shoots us back in the face.
